Wow, that is all I can say.

For a team that we've only played 3 times, they really hate us and pretty much everyone north of the Mason Dixon.  They think we're pricks, elitist, and that they're following the rules as far as oversigining goes.

Well, enjoy!

If you think that site was bad, stay away from Sirius Sat Radio Ch 91 between 3-7p this week. The 'Bam-ers are out in full force on the telephone to the patron saint of troll sports radio. I really want us to win just to hear the reaction from the callers next week that not only did they lose, but to a *GASP* Big Ten team.

Not by the vitriol or their poor grasp of the English language, no. But by the fact that so many comments were posted so quickly, given the fact that most of them are still using dial up. That one person in the trailer park who can afford wi-fi must have an unprotected connection.

well.....

after morbid fascination compelled me to read through the comments, my hesitation in contemplating the outcome of the game (due to perceived reality outweighing what i feared was only wishful thinking) has morphed into a fanatical desire to........

I live in the South and I don't get a whole lot of attitude for being a "yankee".  This asshole is stretching it.  However, there are people in the South that hate the North because of the Civil War (which I 'm pretty sure everyone responsible for is now deceased, so I don't really see their point, but still..).  Very, very rarely are those the people in what I would call $100K+ jobs down here though.

Slightly unrelated, but I saw one of them at RBR posted about wanting to break Michigan's "current scoring streak" (AKA no shut-out streak), which apparently stands at 349 games (since a shutout at Iowa in 1984).  In first place is BYU's streak from 1975 to 2003, which stands at 361.

A little link-clicking shows that the source, the NCAA handbook, is the Fall 2011 edition.  Since we scored in all 13 of our games this season, we are now at 362, and now own the longest scoring streak in NCAA football history after the 2012 Sugar Bowl.  (The next closest active streak is Florida's with 297)  It's not as fancy-sounding as "winningest", but I think it complements it well.

Congrats guys!  We did it!

After reading this thread, I'm literally frightened to go and read the comments.

Should I do it?

Oh, sure, I've got a couple of minutes to waste.

EDIT: Upon Further Review...

MY EYES! THEY BURN! Also, my brain has started leaking out of my ears as some kind of green-yellow paste.

I read about a quarter of the way down that "hate" thread by the time I felt that I had already lost too many brain cells. Never going to get those back. I think I will go back to killing them the old fashioned way. With alcohol.

I once was talking with a few Illini friends of mine (I live in Chicago) and I asked them why they hate Michigan so much.  They responded with "because you're our biggest rivals!"

I couldn't stop laughing.  They didn't understand why I was laughing.  I told them it's because they're not even in our top 5.

Best part of the thread was them claiming 14 National Championships, never mind that half of them came from the Tuscaloosa Herald or some other random local newspaper and not the AP/USA Today/Reuters whatever poll was used at that time.

With all of our "Winter is Coming" references, when are we going to start spelling "southrons" correctly?

While we're at it, that label applies to OIHO as well, so we should perhaps employ it when that time rolls around, as well.

I couldn't understand a fucking word that guy typed in that post.

EDIT: Stay away from the comments on that site also.
