Emphasis on WAS. He held up when heard Brady Hoke was hired.
So while scouring the Freep (with Adblock plus to kill their revenue), I noticed an interesting blurb at the end of an article with RB coach Fred Jackson.
Jackson was set to leave for a pro job after Rodriguez was fired -- to coach "the best running back in football," he said -- but as soon as he heard Brady was hired, he hesitated. His wife said Brady would call and he did, quickly.
This was certainly news to me as I don't remember any sniff about him possibly taking a pro job. And to coach the "best running back in football"? What team could that be? Going by coach Jackson's frequent use of hyperboles it could realistically mean any NFL team. What's your guess? And glad the legend stuck around!
