Get over yourself.
and... i like them? I think I like them.
Get over yourself.
Dr. Billi Gordon is a good guy fellas. It's one thing to question who he was or is since you don't know him, but to act like he's preying on people is crossing the line IMO.
I've known Dr. G for awhile and he's been nothing but a help to me since I recently graduated with my UM degree. The guy is as passionate about the university and the athletic teams as any of us. He showed me the actual message from Vinopal and unless Ray changes his mind drastically in the next few days, it's safe to say that Ray is moving back home. Which is too bad since we're not incredibly expirenced in defesnive backfield and his one year of major playing time would have been good to have.
Anyway, relax on the "child predator" references (Which does it even count? I guess if I learned anything at UM, it's that most students are at least 18 years old).
Take care and Go Blue!
I'm sure Ray really appreciates Dr. Billi sharing his private facebook message.
I only shared the part of his message that was pertinent and relevant for public consumption, i.e., that he loved the team, loved the coaches but had to rise to a life challenge... as we all do in life. Now if Ray had a problem with it he'd let me know, He's a smart kid, with tremendous character and not a coward. So let's stop confusing the issue here by mistaking me for someone who cares what you think... and put our focus on showing some heart and support to a kid that has played his heart out for Michigan. Go Blue!
You keep replying.
The question is did Ray ASK you to sir his laundry, at that time? He may not have a problem with it, but that's irrelevant. What if he HADN'T been? "Oops?" You used your mentorship for self aggrandizement with your inside knowledge. If you earn a trust, keep it. It'll come out in good time anyway.
Greg Harden > Dr. Billi
To be fair, Dr. Gordon, I don't think you needed to reply to his question so defensively. You aren't, unfortunately, a household name, and one completely foreign, I'm sure, to many who read this site, including me. So when someones says "Bill Gordon said on Facebook...", it's just a completely meaningless statement. That's not intended to be insulting - the poster just didn't know who you were.
And the "how dare you question me I'm doing for the kids" attitude, not the act that's the problem.
Vinopal was a fringe talent that had no business seeing the field so early on in his career. Credit the worst defense in school history for that! However if this is true, I wish him well & hope he gets his "family affairs" in line.
about all the kids and coaches who worked very hard last year then you'd better head on over to the ESPN boards or the RCMB before negbangs kick back in. We go about things with a little bit more class around here.
Look I bleed maize & blue but if you can't be least bit critical or speak the truth then I guess I don't belong on here? I feel for ray & his family however I hope you can at least agree he would of never seen the field as a true freshmen on a normal Michigan defense.
If that's your first ever post on this site...
awwww fuck..I hope you're right. I didnt even look at the points. PLease up the points to post to 500.
I hope for the best for Ray and his family, and hope to see him wear the wings in the future. Hang in there Ray!
I have a bad feeling he is indeed leaving..must be something that needs his presence here in Youngstown because i know ray loves michigan and his family has always supported him from back home.
My girlfriend's aunt is a M Alum. She says this is not true. So there.
If true, I wish him luck and thank him for his time here. Wherever you go, at least get the degree.
It has to be hard for a kid whose dream for a long time was to play big time college football to now walk away after he's battled against the odds to make that dream a reality.
I wish him well.
why does everything go wrong in the secondary? The Michigan secondary hating god doesnt discriminate between regimes does he?
Vinopal was/may still be a great player at Michigan. I hope it works out best for him.
I believe this is old news. He enrolled at Toledo, if I am not mistaken.
Sorry about the previous post, that was someone else I was thinking of.
Yeah, I think you're talking about Vlad Emilien.
Man... Im really going to miss this kid. I wish him the best.
If true, I hope that his family situation gets resolved well and that he is able to finish his degree, ideally at UM.
If true, it's a sad sad day for wolverine nation. The kid was thrown out there and held his own NICELY. I knew he'd be the ultimate sleeper when I saw his high school film. Needless to say he didn't disappoint. Gritty, Fierce, Sneaky, Underestimated: all traits of a TRUE wolverine! Go Blue, Ray.
For the record, I would hate my family forever if something happened to take a Michigan football scholarship from me, but I would do the same thing.
I read that other defensive players were not at practice/ not on the team anymore. Does anyone know who else has left the program?
Nobody. Another player was sick and was excused.
