Rashan Gary is the consensus #1 prospect in football.

Whenever he pleases. When you are number one, I think virtually any program will make room for you at any time. I'll say, I'm not a huge fan of the recruiting process and all that goes on, but it is a big decision, and I can't fault Rashan and his mom for playing this out to the very end (and beyond)!

You're right, but once he knows where he wants to go, it's probably in his self-interest to announce sooner rather than later. Having Gary in the fold would certainly help our pitch to the other highly-ranked targets on our list.

I kinda thought this already had happened. Hasn't he been the consensus #1 for a while now?

Gotcha. I guess I've just seen the word "consensus" already thrown around by a lot of people. Didn't know he wasn't #1 for rivals before now. Good find.

"infamous......Oh, you're leaning to Michigan??" ranking drop.
Never fails

Every 2* who commits to us gets the Michigan 3-4* bump because it's Michigan

But please don't keep your fingers crossed until February, OP. Think of the carpal tunnel syndrome implications!
Gary would be a great addition to the team, and has to like the D-Line's success in the first part of the season, before the Glasgow injury.

If he plays his cards right, he has a good chance to be a defensive captain at Michigan by his third or fourth year. That's an incredible opportunity to have in front of you.

Well I didn't want him before, but now I do.

If our coaches want him AND everyone else's coach want him too...then that's even better.

Recent articles indicated that his mom wasn't too keen on Muschamp's departure from Auburn. And also sounds like she talked to Harbaugh about Durkin leaving and that didn't seem to change anything regarding their positive feelings about UM.

He looked tired in the IMG game. And maybe he was. Don't know what that means . . . if anything.

bosas a great player and hes got the genes but hes not his bro. he should have a very successful career but joey bosa is prob the best DL since watt. hes pretty much unblockable at this level when he decides to get after it. his little bro isnt there yet.
gary is pretty darn good. i think his versatility influences his rankings and potential more than anything else - he can legit line up anywhere on the line and make plays, something not many dudes can do

But he is no Clowney. I think he'll be great, but Clowney was a once a decade athlete in college...like a Lawrence Taylor type.
On film he is great, but the two games I have seen him in I did not feel he was the best player on their defense...he seems to tire out quickly. The LB on his team seemed like the best player on that team.
