Random Encounter in Indianapolis
That shit cray.
Reggie and Ronnie Cray? Or crazy? Too hard to keep up with the lingo these days.
Ain't it Jay?
that what she ordered?
So he travels all the way to IUPUI and Butler and then they tell him they don't have any scholarships?
I bet they were hoping he'd like their school enough to take a walk-on spot next year concurrently with his redshirt year, and hopefully earn a scholarship spot for his last two years.
man...he must have really hated it at michigan
...there was that whole thing with Nick Fairley getting arrested for Poking Smot recently.
Creepin pretty hard here but i'm 99% sure his girlfriend that he was with goes to Butler, so maybe he was only there to visit here.
if there was an Indy connection.
I feel like a simple phone call or a text might have been sufficient
His girlfriend goes to Butler and wanted him to move down here. So it's not like he's making a wasted trip to Indy because he's at least seeing his girlfriend. In the first thread we had about this, I was in a little late but said he would go to Butler. Apparently though, they're not willing to somehow make room for him.
Makes this seem like it's going to be a sketchy craiglist post.
Here's to hoping Smotz lands in a good place.
Your thread response makes it seem like you browse sketchy craigslist posts.
Nah. I'm just here for the pos bang.
Did you tell him his lobstryczes miss him?
Cool story bro?
Too bad about Butler. Seems like that would have been a good fit.
And showing that not all fans are idiots.
I still don't understand this transfer. He was in the perfect system for his talents and Colorado or Maryland equally suck. Good luck, stupid move.
And it seemed obvious as an observer that he wasn't happy in Ann Arbor
Absolutely. His heart didn't seem to be in it at all. I would be checking into Hawaii for scholarships. That should put a smile on his face.
Colorado is a team on the rise in a terrible Pac-12 conference -- I would not say that they suck.
I do find it interesting, though, that if he was indeed homesick why he is considering going all the way to Colorado. Wherever he ends up I'll be cheering for him all the same.
Actually, the few people in Boulder who pay any attention at all to college basketball are a little bit excited about Tad Boyle.
I hope he goes to CU for selfish reasons, but Maryland would be a better fit for him. You would think he would want to be closer to home. Then again, if he left Umich because he was feeling too much criticism, then Maryland is NOT the place to go.
Smotrycz always looked half stoned this year so he would fit in well in boulder
Yep, because no one smokes pot in Ann Arbor.
Stupid, insulting comment aside, Ann Arbor DOESN'T have stoners? Need I remind you of Hash Bash last weekend???
There are stoners in every town, and anywhere there's a college or university you can surely bet it's everywhere. Ann Arbor is pot friendly compared to most other college towns, but if being a stoner is really your thing, AA doesn't have shit on Boulder, IMO.
And no, this has nothing to do with Smot or where he's going, he probably just has bad allergies.
I guess I didn't phrase it correctly. I didn't mean that stoners are unique to certain schools, I just meant that Ann Arbor isn't short on them. AA may not be Boulder, but it sure isn't BYU...
...being more or less equal, Boulder has a really good kite shop.
But the weed thing isn't even close to equal. The best pot in the country is being grown in Boulder County these days. Been true for a minimum of 10 years. (Not that that has anything to do with Smot either.)
I've always wondered how I would react if I ever saw a Michigan player in public somewhere. Best of luck to him, and maybe the Lobsters will make a trip out for him
Nerlens Noel is going to Kentucky. Anthony Davis 2.
Wow, lucky guy.
Now, of course that had a lot to do with the fact that they were playing there, but I'm always just shocked at how dedicated Kentucky fans are. One man asked me if I wanted to take his wife home with me, ha ha. I couldn't believe it. I was like, "Nah, I'm good," but that's just how insane the fans were down there. Great atmosphere.
I was thinking about these predetermined one and done guys today and was thinking they must just not even go to class or study at all second semester (much like Burke was rumored to be doing). How often do their grades get reviewed for eligibility? I assume not until the end of the semester, so they could bomb winter semester with no repercussions. Seems to spit on the concept of student athlete.
From what I recall the grades and whatnot don't impact until the end of the year. So one and dones can ignore the winter semester and go pro before that even has an impact.
He quoted "The Decision" in his announcement. Smh as the kids say. He looked so uncomfortable. These public announcements with HS kids need to be phased out. Just announce it on your twitter, include a picture if you must.
Smot strikes me as a boulder kid, even though he was supposedly homesick. Hope he ends up playing well wherever he goes.
Edit: Shabazz Muhammad on the other hand could replace Kevin Blackistone on ESPN right now and no one would notice.
Would be nice to see him here in the DC area. I go out to Comcast several times a season.
Obviously you're going to be a tremendous contributor.
[EDIT] It looks like BiSB wasted no time pouncing on the troll.
One post. 9 minutes, 8 seconds. May be a new record.
Can we get a hint of what it took to be such a record setter?
But my favorite part:
thank god hes gone and next year in the tournament well go far because he wont be there to fuck us over in clutch situations. almost as bad as tyler zeller from UNC.
Nothing like arguing DERR HE'S AS BAD AS TEH ACC PLAYER OF TEH YEAR...
After being caved, he claimed to have found Lloyd Brady in the FanCam. That sounds familiar...
Double Post. Nice Work.
If you really are a fan, you are ignorant and retarded for what you just said. You are a terrible fan, go away.
Also, it's the University of Colorado
EDIT: Well done BiSB. The world is a better place with you here
