Raiders Sign Rookie S Stevie Brown
Stevie signed his rookie contract. I wish him all the best. What are you're thoughts?

He is definitely worth the signing. No matter the case if he can make it at safety, or even bulk up a little more and be like Cato June was with the Colts, IME, you will not find a better player to have on your special teams coverage. That alone makes it well worth the Raiders time and money to sign him. And as cooky (sp?) as Al David is, he has always understood the extreme importance of special teams. Stevie Brown will be directly or indirectly responsible for quite a few hidden yards in the Raider's favor as long as he is playing for them
Good for him. Despite all the criticism he put up with (especially before his senior year), I definitely wouldn't mind another year of Stevie. Best of luck! And don't ever stare directly into Al Davis' eyes.
Making it from the parking lot to the game.
All Madden team, blowing up kick returns from week one, eventually working his way into 3rd down defenses and ultimately being so good they can't keep him off the field.
Go Blue!
One of my most ardent hopes for any individual on the team last year was for Stevie to play well enough to become someone other than "the oft-maligned Stevie Brown." Thankfully, he came through, for Michigan and for himself.
There has been a lot of negativity around the program the last few years, but the self-redemption of Stevie Brown really shines as one of the "feel-good" stories of the last year. Brown worked hard and succeeded in overcoming his percieved limitations; hopefully, the coaching staff at Oakland can find a place for him that fully utilizes his talent.
I was hoping he would get a chance to play in the NFL. Oh well.
His personality really comes through in this interview.
