What do you expect? That Coach will just stop recruiting because it's unlikely a committed kid will flip? He is going to grind to the finish line, but the reality is that some of these kids are hearing from UM for the first time less that a week before they make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. It doesn't mean that Coach Harbaugh's efforts are wasted. It is just so late in the process.

Great balance. Good speed. If he had better blocking up front I feel like he may have been ranked even higher. He made most of his yards after contact. The kid creates. I hope we get him.

I'd say the Higdon offer is a sure sign the staff has concluded Weber isn't leaving OSU.

Unless... unless it's a feint designed to take the pressure off of Weber by making the OSU staff think he's solid to the Bucks, until he pulls off the big switcheroo on signing day.

Jesus how freaking hard would it be to flip an Iowas RB recruit?  Simply watch them walk into the room, point at their knees and say "son, if you like walking on your own I'd think twice about attending Iowa as a RB.  I'm not saying you're absolutely going to get crippled if you play there but if you don't you'll be the first RB in school history to not need a walker and cane to pick up his diploma."

Michigan Offer Doesn't Change Things for Iowa 4-star RB Commit

Karan Higdon has been committed to Iowa since October 28th, 2014; and with just days left before national signing day—that commitment won't change according to the 4-star running back.

Higdon's commitment to Iowa will remain intact even considering the fact that he just received a very big offer this morning from the University of Michigan. Higdon texted VOTH early this morning to relay that Wolverines' head coachJim Harbaugh had called and extended the offer to play in Ann Arbor.

Though Higdon did relay that that one of his high school coaches has ties to Michigan and that it "feels great" to pick up the offer from the Wolverines, he remained steadfast in what he's been telling us all along about his commitment to Iowa.

"All Hawks. Nothing different," Higdon told VOTH.

While the industry generated 247Sports Composite ranks Higdon as No. 40 running back in the 2015 class and only considers him as a 3-star; 247Sports ranks him as a 4-star. He's also the No. 29 ranked back in the 2015 class, per the 247sports rankings.

Higdon is 5-foot-10, 190 pounds and runs a 4.50 40.

that last name sounds familiar.  i seem to recall a WR that may have played for iowa in the past.

edit:  there was a TE that played for osu in the late 80s.  that must be it.  i'm old.

We have a 345 flight out of Tampa and we're about to get on the highway to get Karan to Ann Arbor. Wish us luck with this traffic lol. What a crazy day. Go blue :)

Does this mean the staff isn't too optimistic about Weber? Really felt like he would switch back to UM, but this offer might suggest otherwise.

Karan Higdon in trying to go to the UM? If the kid want's to go to Iowa, then let him. There is no need for the extra stress on the kid. I can assure you Iowa will need him 10 times more than Michigan. I would rather have Michigan go for higher rated running backs anyways.

to build any kind of relationships in less than a month.  Also what happens after NSD, not everyone signs on that day.  Who knows there could be some good players after NSD that are still considering where to go.

I  feel pretty good about this class when you think when Harbaugh started.  All those other coaches have had a year or more to build relationships.  Who thought some 6'-7" QB would be coming to Michigan this fall.

It's good to be Blue!
