Quick Jordan Diamond Update
I just got off the phone with super 2012 OL Jordan Diamond. Jordan was recently offered by Ohio State, and as you know is starting to collect a lot of offers.
He'll be visiting Wisconsin this weekend (2/11), Michigan next weekend (2/18), and Ohio State the weekend after that.
Jordan sounds like he wants to stay in the midwest, and he got the chance to meet Coach Hoke a few weeks ago. He really likes him too. When I asked him about Ohio State he didn't sound really excited either. This is a long way to go but Michigan can make a big impression on him this weekend.

You need to have your own tab like Tom does, because you've been very helpful these past couple of days.

I have a feeling the MGoStaff has expanded. JC3's deal kicked in after the 2011 recruiting cycle closed out.

very soon, the entire world will work for Brian Cook (right after the Big Ten annexes Australia)

I think they need to make some new television commercials and put Tom VH in as "the most interesting man in the world". Be thirsty my friends.

Jordan Diamond and Chris Bryant are both from Simeon, which is where all the athletes go in the CPS. It is a magnet school, so any kid within the boundaries can attend, so it's no surprise that players like Derrick Rose have come out of there. Expect Simeon to pump out some more big recruits in the coming years.
FWIW- Jabari Parker is also at Simeon, and he's being considered the next big basketball star since D-Rose (class of 2013). He probably won't attend Michigan, but that's the kind of talent were talking about at Simeon.

And because I played in a summer high school baseball league at Simeon...their basketball team is closing in on the #1 national basketball ranking. My school plays them in the second round of the city championship this week so hopefully they don't get there!
But yea, Simeon is an athletics powerhouse in Chicago so it would be great to start building a strong pipeline with them.

What are they ranked? I don't know much about the rankings for HS basketball. Are they as good as St. Anthony's (Jersey City, NJ) or St. Patrick's (Elizabeth, NJ)?

I saw this earlier today in an ESPN Chicago article. They're ranked #4 in the ESPN Rise FAB 50 rankings. St. Anthony and St. Patrick are apparently 1 and 2. Here's a link: http://rise.espn.go.com/boys-basketball/team-rankings/Index.aspx

I don't know if this is a good suggestion or bad. I know TomVH is affiliated with MGoBlog. I know that JC3 is affiliated with TomVH. What I don't know is this is an example of the transitive property.
In the last 3 days, you have posted many excellent updates and pieces of analysis. Would you please post your handle in your thread titles (a la TomVH) so that those who wish to read the material you provide will know the update is coming from you?
If the transitive property is not in effect, please move along. Nothing to see here.

JC3's been posting good stuff here for a while. Although I guess he's really taken off over the last few days.

They both work on U-Recruit. JC3 seems to do less Michigan specific stuff, but shares when he has info for all of us here, I believe.

Would be great to see Diamond anchor the Michigan OL for the next few years. He is a must get!
