Not worthy of its own post, but interesting that Hoke, Carr, Mo & Bo in building the Michigan tradition... But no mention of RR. Very.... Interesting. Will RR be the forgotten chapter of Michigan football history?

Will RR be the forgotten chapter of Michigan football history?

I noticed the omission as well.  It was likely just an oversight, and if deliberate I doubt that it was intended as an insult.

Harbaugh's comment about previous coaches was in context to lineage going back to the foundations of Michigan football.  Rodriguez is an outlier in that context ... but to be fair so was Schembechler.  The argument would be that Schembechler personified the same principles as former coaching greats ... whatever those principles are said to be.

At the end of the day I suspect Harbaugh was looking to be as uncontroversial as possible for this first press conference.

That wasn't cool at all. The poor treatment of RR continues to this day. RR came to Michigan at the urging of Don Nehlen -- a Michigan man for the revisionist historians out there. PLUS... Carr really didn't leave RR the foundation that JH spoke of.
