My football days ended after I scored 4 TDs in a single game for Polk High.

Kinda what I was getting at. Somethings are earned, just like Military patches. I could buy one and wear it around, but it would be pretty disrespectful to those who earned it.

It would just be for a mancave/memorabilia collection. Something cool and unique.

Then I take back what I said, great idea, never occured to me to use it for that. Sorry.

Where can I buy this? And the sweet hair to match?
October 7th, 2014 at 5:20 PM ^
Look for that jacket at Wilson's Leather, however the sweet man-perm must be earned.

You mean this?
Those are given to Varsity lettermen. I'm sure someone could make one, but I've never seen one for sale. Those have been around a long time.

Right, I figured there'd be replicas somewhere but I guess you're telling me that's a no go?
October 7th, 2014 at 5:21 PM ^
No known replicas. Not even a letterman jacket.
MDen does sell a replica letter. You'd just need to find the sweater.

They do have semi-replica letterman jackets. But they have that extra crap on them that ruins the whole thing.

Man, I forgot about their letter jacket days.

I LOVED the Steniers during this college year schtick.
That was before their Wrestlemania VII matchup against the HeadShrinkers outside of Ceasar's Palace. Don't get me started on that event, but this was the only Wrestlemania match the Steiners had in the WWE if memory serves me right.

some fine leather, and have the Michigan taken off the back as well.
Not sure about the piping on the collar and bottom fo the jacket/ends of sleeves.
That sweater is pretty damn sharp, though.

These sweaters are only ever seen in All-American portraits. I'd bet you anything these days the players don't actually get one, but just wear one that fits out of a stock of 'em at Schembechler Hall. They're all the same, and have been for decades.

Great idea.
If we arent doing it yet, we're sure doing it now.
Gotta squeeze them dollas, son.

Two things that I would absolutely love to locate:
Columbia (the brand) faded army green Michigan long sleeve with white lettering and the seal on the front. Bought around '96 (at Ulrich's?), and haven't seen anything like it since.
The type of shirts they had at Steve and Barry's around '96 that simply had MICHIGAN in white letters on cool faded colors (old school maize, army green, faded red, etc.)
It's been really hard for me to find any clothing that isn't brightly colored/patterned, covered in addidas logos, or completely esoteric (I'm looking at you, MgoStore). I recently got one of those American Aparrel shirts from underground shirts (not bad, but still too yellow) and have a long sleeve blue Champion, but really miss those (relatively) old shirts.
