Question for TomVH

Hey TomVH,
I remember you mention that something HUGE is about to happen. Has this thing happened yet? I am just wondering.

And an interview with T. Sallworth was awesome. Thank you for your great work.

was it a joke or was it schafer's resignation? i remember he said it could be a good thing or a bad thing....it depends how you look at it

so, again can we actually say that our record hasn't affected the mindset of our recruits? Is it a coincidence that after having 1 of the worst seasons in our program's history we have had 6 decommits? this sucks.

I highly doubt this had something to do with the record.

More likely arguments:

- He heard all the talk of Tate starting over him, and didn't like it

- He has been waivering this whole time, and wasn't completely sold

- He's befriended a lot of recruits who have been in his ear about a lot of things

yeah, i understand that there are many reasons that go into decommitting but I just don't see that this as just a coincidence. i mean shit, tulsa likely would've beat us this year and i would think at the end of the day, that the majority of recruits want to be at a winning program ( i know we're a 'winning program' but i can see a lot of recruits having short-term memory).

If it was the Tate starting over him thing you would have to question his own self-confidence and drive to rise up and overcome like we would want Michigan recruits to be, in a perfect world that is. But, even IF Tate did beat him out to start all it would take is one play for Tate to get injured and then Beaver would be the guy. My guess is that it was a combination of all that and more that we don't even know about (though maybe TomVH knows.) I have no ill-will toward the kid, we'll be fine even if we don't get another qb in this class, we're bound to get a great one next year.

However, the poor record probably had SOMETHING to do with it, even if it wasn't the main reason.

I refuse to believe that out of our 6 (?) decommitments this year, our record wasn't a factor. There's no other way to explain so many people jumping ship. If it were 1 or 2 or 3, you could explain it away as wanting to stay near home, being afraid of competition, etc. But not when there are 6. No way.
