Question: Banners at Yost Arena
Does anyone know what banners are hanging in Yost arena? I live in Minneapolis and I have a friend who is a huge gopher fan. It's intolerable. Anyway, I need help settling a bet. We went to a Michigan-Minnesota game in Minneapolis and I noticed the Gophers had banners hanging for NCAA tournaments they participated in, but did not win. I thought this was lame and I have been teasing him relentlessly since. He bet me that Yost arena would have the same banners. Can anyone please settle this bet. I bet him we only have championship banners.

And if he asks about the maize banners:

The only thing he can get you on is the Frozen Four banner.

Thank you so much! I was shocked the Minnesota would hang "participation" banners. It had a feel of little league "trying is winning" philosophy. I greatly appreciate it!
Now, lets get ready to beat OSU!

A summary for those who don't want to click the link:
CCHA Reg season champs
CCHA tourney Champs
NCAA Nat. Champs
then the 3 big banners on the South Wall:
NCAA Champs, GLI Champs, and Frozen 4 (thanks to the poster below for pointing out the one i forgot)

Yost has tons of banners:
WCHA Championships (one for each year)
CCHA Regular Season Championships (one for each year)
CCHA Play-off Championships (one for each year)
NCAA Championships (one for each year)
Those all hang above the ice
Then, on the north wall there are two large banners that have all of the years UM WON the GLI and then a 2nd that shows all the years UM was in the NCAA's Frozen Four. We do not have banners for the years we went to the NCAA Tourney - its been 20 straight years - longest active streak and longest ever. UM's 9 NCAA Titles are also the most in D-1 Hockey.

There are actually 3 on the north wall. You forgot the one in the middle that lists our NCAA championships (Because those are worth having two banners for, seeing as how we have more than anybody else =D ).

they always have top-flight talent and have not done ANYTHING in the last few years. We dismantled them 6-3 2 years ago when they were ranked #1 and then beat them 6-0 this past year. This should also nullify his argument of 'WCHA IS HARD'

Nothing was more enjoyable then being at Mariucci watching UM destroy them on the Gopher's ice!
Actually, I enjoyed watching the 4th quarter comeback with Navarre even more in person. That loss destroyed the gophers!
