Question About Postseason Media Coverage

Submitted by mgoSk on

Having only followed Michigan football closely since Rich has been at the helm, I am unfamiliar with how the postseason works regarding pressers, etc. between the end of the regular season and the bowl game.

Will there be weekly pressers? Will there be any offseason type countdown videos, interviews, or practice clips?

Thanks

It's been so long I can't remember. Even then, it was a different coaching staff the last time we had the opportunity, a staff not prone to having lots of pressers (Fort Schembechler).

I'm not sure there is a protocol. I'd estimate they aren't weekly. Probably one right after OSU game, another after bowl announcement, and then another the week before the bowl. As for the other extra cirriculars, I would also imagine they happen but are sparse. Just enough to keep the football brand rolling and fresh in consumers' minds, not nearly what it is during the regular season.

I wonder if there will be more this offseason than in the past with DB at the helm.  He did say recently he wants to really push the marketing of the "Michigan brand" forward.  A large majority of the Michigan brand is football.  It'll be interesting to see what he means by that.
