Question about MDen sizing
I am strongly considering* buying both a Final Four tee shirt an some shorts from the MDen website. However, I seem to remember comments on the board about MDen stuff running either large or small. Do you, dear reader, have any insight into this? I would especially appreciate thoughts on shorts, as I usually just hold prospective shorts up to myself and give them the eyeball test...I thank you for your help and note that I post this in the hope that it might save myself but also some other poor soul(s) from shorts-related angst.
*Assuming my mom is cool with it.
I bought an XL Football shirt from 'Den not too long ago and it is a little tight. This could mean one of three things-
- I like loose fitting clothes (I do)
- The stuff really is a little smaller than advertised
- I've been eating too much White Castle
My advice: If you can get it in ClimaLite, do it. It's comfy and ladies dig the ClimaLite.
Last sentence has me sold!
I bought a medium climalite final four shirt that ran like an XL
Same here. My medium climalite is bigger than a large under armour shirt.
It depends a lot on the brand, and they carry a few different labels. I've found for the most part that their stuff has run fairly similar to what you'd expect elsewhere, with the one glaring exception being a sweatshirt that seemed about two sizes smaller than advertised. But I've bought a couple different sweatshirts over the years, and the other ones were fine.
My advice is pay attention to the return policy and try it on as soon as you get it. But you'll probably be fine buying the sizes you'd normally wear. Probably.
I'm a tall guy. Most of the time I have to buy XXL because of length issues. Therefore, it looks like I'm wearing a garbage bag.
Adidas is actually pretty good with making longer shirts so I can buy an XL and actually wash and dry my clothes.
Just my 2 pennies.
I am tall so i have similar issues. I recently bought some shirts and went up a size. It worked out well because they seemed to shrink back down to my actual size after they were washed.
I just bought two final four shirts online from there. One is the blue champion one and the other is the locker room one they got for beating Florida. I am always a medium , these for just barely right , maybe a tad small. I'm afraid to wash them cause then I know they'll be right.
Puma has the worst sizing of all the major sports brands makers
try on an xxl and it fits like a Large
all of puma's sizing is european
i understand they are a euro company
but they need to get with the program and size it american
And yet, I bought an XL golf shirt recently and I'm swimming in it. And I'm 6'4" 230.

You need to stop diving in the ponds after your balls.
The adidas apparel seems to run pretty much what you would expect. I have experienced hooded sweatshirts running small, as someone mentioned earlier.
Just my tale though. As mentioned, I'm sure it depends on the brand.
My medium basketball shorts were too small and short, opted to go with an XL.. fit perfectly

I actually get most of my Michigan stuff from Meijer or We 3 Blue ( only time ill ever use that) which in my opinion is a cheaper and better deal on Michigan gear store. But man you can find some nice UM products and cheap shirts at Meijer!

I think most Adidas basic T's fits wide. This has always been a gripe of mine with Adidas. I try to look for slim fit but good luck with that.

Agreed. Incredibly wide. I'm a normal size L in t-shirts, but even a medium from Adidas feels like I'm wearing an XL or XXL

As someone who outfitted 100+ UM athletes in adidas gear every year, let me tell you this:
adidas uses two completely different and arbitrary sizing guides. There is no way to know if you're buying a medium that fits like an XL or a medium that fits like a Medium. Find a way to try on one size for the item you want or buy both and make a return.
