Question about Crisler Wolverine Den

Submitted by sheepman on

My father in law is thinking about renting the Wolverine Den for a BB game.  For those who have been to a game in there, questions:

(1) It looks really high up on the map. As in, $6 seat high up. How is the view?

(2) Are there any other benefits? (TV screens, etc.)

(3) How are the seats/bar stools? comfortable?

It just doesn't seem worth it to me, but I told him I would ask my mgofriends.

I have never been to a game in the wolverine den, however I am a season ticket holder and I know where it is. I would never sit there for a game because it is very far removed from the court. In my opinion basketball is a game of inches and you want to be close enough where you can see the key details. If you are going to dole out that kind of money you should opt for club, box, or suite style tickets. At least try to get lower bowl tickets.

At first glance I thought "who the Hell is Wolverine Dan" and why is he some sort of icon at Crisler?  Why havent I heard of him?

It wasnt until I opened the thread it was something completely different I was clueless about.

My wife bought us Wolverine Den seats for OSU a few years back.

The only redeeming qualities were: mid-court view and all-you-can-eat food.

The negatives were: nose-bleed seat view and having to crane your neck around TV cameras.

Unless you think you can eat $100 worth of food, I'd suggest trying to get lower level seats.

I agree with the guy who said not worth it. The seats are really far away, and the TV cameras are right in the line of sight. Terrible set up IMO.

My seats are level with the cameras. Be honest I don't mind how far up they are because of center court view. But yeah lot of money and food meh. Given the lack of enthusiasm this year StubHub for lower level seats way to go.

Thread jack: alternatives to Stub Hub I went to buy 2 seats for a game. Good seats, $80 per. At check out the fees were $20 a seat! That is 25% of the price. I think that is ridiculous. What other good options are there? As empty as Crisler has been this year, I'm guessing scalpers outside the stadium are the way to go.
