QB Brian Cleary is making mac n cheese in a mug in the microwave

Submitted by Wendyk5 on

I was listening to NPR this morning and heard a story about making various foods in a mug in the microwave. Of course, I couldn't remember any of the directions, so I googled "mac n cheese in a mug in the microwave" and this link came up. For the record, I recommend using whole milk and shredded cheese; I used skim and a slice of cheese and it was a bleedin' mess.

Check out his other posts, as well. The guy can cook (at least better than most college students).

The real question should be .... is the mac and cheese the color of the wings on the helmets or the numbers on the jerseys?

Love the mug.

All I know is that I'm glad I'm an adult now, because while 18-year-old Bando would have been like "Oh man! Gonna do this in my dorm room! GOOD EATS!," pushing-30-year-old Bando is saying "Man, how great is it to have a stove I want to use?"

When I clicked, I thought....come on!!? REALLY???
Then I checked out the sight. Pretty impressive. I like his write ups--shows his personality. Then my kids saw the photo of the mac n cheese and we decided to give it a try.

It is really, really good! We made it together, and then one of my 11 year olds made some for herself. So, its better than the boxed stuff, takes less time, has less processed stuff and my kid can make her own.

No wonder Brian is Pre-Med at Michigan, he is a friggin genius.  It looks easy and delicious.  I too no longer worry about large appliance constraints, but I am saving this for my three boys when they are old enough to appreciate it.
