No, sir, moronic is more like giving commentary on a subject which you have no knowledge.  Which is exactly what you did above.

Also, you have over 1,000 MGoPoints.  Betting lines are posted on here all the time.  You just choose to ignore them or what?

no moronic would be wagering money over an event that you have no control over. I prefer to keep my money.

yep, I ignore lines because I don't like throwing money over events I cannot control.

keep being an asshole. You could educate me but you chose to the other route.

Wolve318: nope it is correct. Purdue sucks that much.

Incorrect:  Correct line would be Purdue +12 which prompted this reply by Beavis.

You have clearly never bet on college football.  Or you were high/drunk when you posted that.

You haven't been paying attention to the general mood of the blog if you think this was an asshole comment.  You responded with:

well you are right, because I think gambling is perhaps the most moronic of hobbies.

Now this is an asshole comment.  You are getting defensive and basically called anyone who gambles a moron.  I gamble occasionally.  I can sit at a casino for a few hours and I may lose some cash but you know what?  It's the price of entertainment.  It's not your thing, but don't pass judgement on those who do enjoy it.

I was called the moron first just because I said purdue sucks and I got the line backwards. He could have just pointed out the mistake but noooo...he had to be a jerk, I was a jerk in a reply.

I am already under enough stress watching Gerg's POS defense. I don't need to be poorer as a result.

Beavis postulated that you have never bet on football OR you were high/drunk.

Since you have never bet on football, the second half of his comment does not apply.

An alternate response from you could have been "you are right, I do not gamble" and everyone goes on their merry way but, instead, you chose to insult a good portion of this blog's users.

Oh, right.  I read that as Michigan -12 by stating I'd take Michigan LESS the points.  I guess I'm used to people being surprised that Michigan was favored, not the other way around. :-/

EDIT: That said, I do understand gambling lines and will not proceed into epic mgomeltdown #2 on how spending money on one's own entertainment is moronic.

I think M will win, but I don't think we can take anything for granted with the defense the way it is.  Also, Purdue will no doubt see a game against Michigan as a chance to make their season.
