Pump-up songs for Saturdays
Every year I make a CD of about 18 or so songs to listen to on the ride up to Ann Arbor. As the season is fast approaching, I have decided it is that time. This year I thought I would ask the MGOBLOG community for input. What are your favorite songs to listen to before games?
Love AC/DC. Easily one of the best bands ever.

If you want to Rock n Roll. Turn it up until the bagpipes make your ears bleed!
If we're going to play RAWK music, might as well go all the way.
Ratt - Round and Round
"I WANNA ROCK" - Twisted Sister
It was a good day.
"A little less conversation" - really wish they would add this one to the big house rotation.
Tool - "Prison Sex"
Soundgarden - "Jesus Christ Pose"
Ministry - "Jesus built my Hotrod" (extended remix)
Mentioned above but Drop the World by Lil' Wayne is great pump up music.
Also Heart of a champion by Nelly is solid
mixed and produced by the Coner.
Edit: I'm a moron, he's a rapper
This song never really blew up for whatever reason, but i think "No Matter What" by TI is a really good one.
Concerto for Orchestra - Bartok
I once planned an entire trip to Europe around being able to hear the Bartok Concerto performed live by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. Well worth the effort, as that concert was mind-altering.

This song is sweeter than you think. It grows on you.
Followed by Stranglehold by Ted Nugent.
Eminem - The Way I Am
Kid Rock - Bawitaba (sp?)
LL Cool J- Mamma Said Knock You Out
Drowning Pool - Bodies (Ridiculously cliche and overplayed. I don't care)
Tupac- Hit em up.
Biggie - Hypnotize
"Sabotage" and "Sure Shot" by the BBoys
"Renegades of Funk" and "Killing in the Name of" by Rage Against the Machine
Some kind of Foo Fighters
Helter Skelter by the Beatles
If your car has good bass and you are starting to feel tired, this song will defff. wake you up.
WARNING: If you listen to this song more than once your ears will bleed, and if you listen to this song high, you might think your in space.
Wouldn't mind hearing a change from AC/DC's Thunderstruck during warmups - nothing wrong with it other than getting a bit tired after two years.
user name!
but seriously, any Amon Amarth does the trick.

ok, no fair. Now i have to go and watch this movie. It is one of the movies i could never grow sick of watching.
I'll see you that song and raise you this one:
Powerman 5000 - When worlds collide.
Lil' Wayne - Do what we do
Lil' Wayne - When they come for me
The Early November "The Car In 20"
Thrice "Image of the Invisible"
The Classic Crime "Abracadavers"
Say Anything "People Like You Are Why People Like Me Exist"
Jimmy Eat World "Sweetness"
Brand New "Sink" (and the last 1:30 of "Vices")
Those some that I can think of off the top of my head.
Everyone has their own traditions. Personally, one of my roomies used to wake us up VERY early every football Saturday morning to Black Water by the Doobie Brothers. I don't think there was any real reason for it except that it's an upbeat song that everyone liked...but for the rest of my life, that song will remind me of football Saturdays. And I love it.

Starship -- "We Built This City"
Styx -- "Come Sail Away"
Boston -- "More Than A Feeling"
Night Ranger -- "Sister Christian"
Loverboy -- "Working For The Weekend"

What is bad about this music? That the compositions are intelligent, the music is powerful and engaging, and the production quality is top-notch?
Also, don't forget to add Asia to this list --- it was the heeeeeat of the moment!

Naturally, the MMB is a must. Other bands that get me similarly fired up
Moonsorrow:
Zimmers Hole:
Also... Tool, Motorhead, Kyuss, Manowar, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and really any metal that is inspires glorious partying and revelry!!
And there can be no pre-game without Immigrant Song
