Not overly important, but hate to see the guys lack competitive fire in any game. The schedule gets a tad harder than Charlotte.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:24 PM ^
I refuse to be delusional. FSU is not that good and we needed a comeback to win and Charlotte is not that good and we lost. We are a fringe top 25 team and had NO business in the top 10 in the first place. Those of you (like myself) that were looking for those GRIII improvements coming into this yr please stop and let's hope the freshmen can get it together before we go to Cameron and get dump trucked.

Do you think we could beat the 1-5 Vermont Catamounts?
November 24th, 2013 at 10:38 PM ^
If this shit continues, this could be like the 1990-91 season.
I have a feeling that game at duke could be like that one where Demetrius Calip was wide open on a dunk, nobody within 15 feet of him, and somehow he missed it. Microcosm of that season.
I don't think it will. If there was a mass exodus with Trey, THJ, GR3 and McGary leaving for the NBA last year, oy that would be bad.
We have a long way to go and if there is anything I've learned from John Beilein Michigan Basketball, it's that things can start out rough early but blossom into something nice.

The D Calip/ future 2nd string for the Fab 5 year was my first year of 15 with season tickets. At least we all knew they wouldn't be great. Highlights of that season were serenading C Web on his official visit and a double OT win vs my roommate's Purdue team.
Oh, and while I share some pessimism about this year's team, this year will be MUCH better than that year
November 25th, 2013 at 7:08 AM ^
Your forgot about Rich McIver's hair. That was definitely a highlight of '91.

Monkey Rodeo. What a shitshow of a weekend.
Here's to Stauskus & GRIII being healthy.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:26 PM ^
Too many missed free throws. I hope the hockey team can keep playing well. I don't have much left. I am actually starting to look forward to baseball season. That has never happened before. What a joke.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:27 PM ^
Hey we got Women's Soccer though
November 24th, 2013 at 10:31 PM ^
The stat of the game probably has to be the effective FG% of 35.23% from Michigan, which is still a bit short of Charlotte's also somewhat unimpressive 43.94%. Nobody was really shooting that well, but we were shooting worse. Beyond that, some of the other major stats for the game were reasonably comparable.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:33 PM ^
We're at the point now where we can't be confident that football or basketball will win regardless of the quality of the opponent, and that's a real bummer.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:39 PM ^
State. Let's not be overly pessimistic.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:40 PM ^
Michigan lost to a Division 2 school: Alaska-Anchorage, in the 1988-89 season.
That may be one of the biggest upsets in college basketball history next to UVA losing to Chaminade in the early 80s. But nobody remembers or talks about it because Michigan finished pretty well that year.

Go to bed now. You'll feel better in the morning.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:08 PM ^
Not sure telling people what to do is going to work.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:32 PM ^
You had gone to bed, we would have been spared one more f bomb.
November 24th, 2013 at 10:38 PM ^
Ya Mon, da happy weed...Glad the boys could have some fun in the sun. All three of the games were good preparation for the big10 season and beyond. Tonight's loss would have been no big deal except it follow Hoke's follies and the Same old Lions. At least the hoops team has no coaching issues.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:09 PM ^
After being down 0-24, he has led an incredible comeback. Pats up 28-24
Also, Jack Del Rio has out vaseline on his face and looks like he's sweating when it's 22 degrees out
November 24th, 2013 at 11:29 PM ^
Just like watching Michigan. D letting Denver drive down the field.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:33 PM ^
Come on Tom. Please have one more drive. I really hate Peyton.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:38 PM ^
Tom Brady deserves a big win after getting robbed last game.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:39 PM ^
4 yard route? Is Lloyd there?
November 24th, 2013 at 11:40 PM ^
Out of conference losses don't bug me as much in basketball. Let's at least go 1-1 against Duke and Arizona and then handle business in Big Ten play.
November 25th, 2013 at 12:15 AM ^
Makes you think this team can beat Duke or Arizona? They are having trouble handing no name players that couldn't get a scholarship to a real program. How are they going to stop Jabari Parker and Aaron Gordon?
November 25th, 2013 at 7:05 AM ^
"They are having trouble handing no name players that couldn't get a scholarship to a real program."
Like Vermont?
November 24th, 2013 at 11:41 PM ^
Lots of holding by Denver.
November 24th, 2013 at 11:46 PM ^
We need much more from GR3. Wow. I have other gripes, but let's start there
November 24th, 2013 at 11:48 PM ^
Taking the wind??!!!! Are you fucking kidding me?
November 24th, 2013 at 11:52 PM ^
New England D is a joke.
November 25th, 2013 at 12:02 AM ^
New England got screwed again. Totally awful no call.
November 25th, 2013 at 8:25 AM ^
All the ticky tack foul calls are going to kill college basketball.
