psu vs. u of m ticket prices

Submitted by Helloheisman on
Me and about 7 friends are going on the road to the psu game. Anyone have a general idea of how much tickets are going to go for? We do not need GREAT tix... average would do and we have no plans to all sit together. Thanks for the help!

$100 and I am guessing that you all won't get tickets.

Best bet.  Hang out to the entrances by the michigan sections.  There may be some Michigan fans selling tickets and our fans tend to be more generous.

That PSU - UM is a much tougher ticket in Happy Valley than Ann Arbor.

Plus that game will be a night game on Halloween weekend - will be pricy.

I'll probably go to the game without a ticket, and just hang between the stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center and probably spend about $80 each on tickets.

The key-- go downtown before the game and get yourself a PSU shirt for $5.  Pull it over your UM gear before you start looking for tix.  If they see a speck of maize on you the price will double instantly.  Sure, you're stuck with a Nittany Lion shirt, but it'll save you alot of money.

Six Zero... can you design us a shirt that starts off as a PSU shirt.... but somehow when exposed to the night lights, converts into a bright Maize decked out Michigan shirt?  Maybe a T-qualizer that once RAWK music is played in Beaver stadium,, a Michigan logo lights up?

Your best bet is definitely to wait as long as possible.  I paid $175 for a ticket to the Iowa game last year (and they weren't going for much cheaper) so I'd expect to pay roughly that much.

A year ago, we were coming off a 3-9 season.  PSU was coming off an 11-2, Rose Bowl season.  We sold out all our games.  PSU did not.

Kudos to our fanbase.

I paid $100 for a ticket in 2006 but that was just sort of lucky because I met a girl in a bar the night before who had an extra ticket.  My other friends paid about $125 and had to look much harder.

It probably depends on the team records.  If PSU is on a roll, prices will go up.

If you do wind up in Happy Valley and are looking for a place to hang out pre-game, stop by The Rathskeller, which is just a couple of blocks off of campus.  Lots of good beers to choose from.
