It'll be interesting to see how this affects his game.
I can't imagine this ruining his shot, considering he probably shoots 500-1000 shots a day.
You know, he's not just a shooter.
It also looks like he is doing a little farming in the off season.
I can't see the picture for some reason, so I'm just going to assume this was a picture of his very attractive girlfriend.
Microsoft on Skydrive seems to go out of its way to discourage the use of the img tag. Let's see if iframe works
With his increased muscle mass and vertical leap, we could very well be seeing the first player to dunk from the 3 point line.
This is the single greatest comment in the history of the internet. You just won MGoBlog. My co-workers are wondering what the hell I'm chuckling about.
Should mean he's able to finish better around the rim, more willing to take guys off the dribble.
bang. Be less shy about contact.
Was what she said.
Wait, are we still talking about basketball?
Even his hair is buffer...
Not meant in a Mrs. Robinson sort of way, but he definitely looks over all better. I like the hair a little longer, too.
Over all better? Or better all over?
Am I right?
digits Ms. Mabel?
than me. Also, I could almost be his mother. so ewwww.....
Look - if you could "almost" be his mother, that puts you in the late-30s, early-40s range at most (otherwise I'm sure you would have left out the almost). That's not ewwww. At least not for him. A 20 year old man can learn a lot from an encounter like that....at least that's what I've heard.
has taken an interesting turn.
This basketball program has shown a wondrful ability to develop players. It goes up and down the line. A guy like Jordan Morgan can come in, completely reshape his body, and become a pretty damn good player. Stauskas is gonna be very good this year I think.
I used this excuse as a skinny high schooler for not wanting to lift weights in the off-season. Why would I want to ruin my silky smooth shot by adding muscle mass to my arms and chest? Hogwash. Sure wish I would've pounded those weights more to produce tangible strength increases like Nik. This definitiely bodes well for Nik's all-around game. Color me as excited.
... on which "game" you're talking about.
His forearms are still a weird color of red. Must be a Canadian thing.
Will do that to you.
we're gonna see a lot more Canadian shakin' and bakin'.
"sun" down in these parts.
Just more of him to disappear in big moment. . . .
Nice, thanks for stopping by to troll. You know where the door is, now go...
no? I'd love to disappear like that!
How did I ever miss the 1st one? Very insightful
Oh, you mean like when he disappeared in that big game against Florida in the Elite 8 of the NCAA tournament--going 7/8, 6/6 from three, for 22 points to lead Michigan into their first Final Four in 20 years (since the Fab Five). Yep, disappeared...
He certainly looks ready to play some defense this season. I can't wait to see this team play on Tuesday.
It seems a wee bit dramatic but still worth watching.
he can become more than just a shooter :)
taking it to the rim (which we know he can), rebounding, and a more range.
On the left he looks like one of the zombie type things from I am Legend.
Wow...that is a great transformation.
I could watch that gif for hours. So smooth, such a good memory.
I have heard the mark of a great shooter is muscle memory and being able to repeat proper mechanics. I thought I was watching the same shot 3 times in a row.
Was never predicated on speed or quickness, but he did need to get stronger. Looks like that mission was more than accomplished.
Hopefully this'll help him hold up a little better when the conference schedule comes around. Either way, that's a lot of good weight he just put on.
