Did Graham not work out? I'd think they'd try to have him lift just to spark interest from the scouts to help the other Seniors.

He tweaked a hamstring his second 40 run at the combine. Warren, says he'll run again at Graham's individual workout day.
Which, apparently won't be then, individual.
Graham will also run the 40 w/Warren on his back against and beat the Freep's Rosenburg just because he can.

Michigan Brandon Graham stood on his combine numbers and did not run today. Safety Stevie Brown was very impressive. Brown measured just under 5116/212-pounds, ran 40 times which ranged in the mid-4.4 second area and an impressive three cone time of 6.61 seconds. He also completed 23 reps on the bench and had a vertical jump of 35 inches. Brown, who played linebacker last season, is someone we really liked off the 2008 film. Evidently the New York Jets also like Brown as they spent a lot of time quizzing former UM coach Lloyd Carr about his recruit before spending significant time with Brown. The Green Bay Packers have also expressed interest in Brown. Cornerback Donovan Warren was clocked as fast as 4.55 seconds today, significantly better than his combine time. Is it enough to move him into the draft’s top three rounds? We don’t think so. Receiver Greg Matthews measured 6020/205-pounds and ran times between 4.55-to-4.61 seconds.http://www.draftinsider.net/blog/?p=1343

Or a ringing endorsement of Gerg's coaching ability?
I can absolutely see a team like the Jets, Ravens, or Packers liking Brown. He's got speed and the ability to be an in-the-box safety. Brown can't play safety where they play a lot of Cover 2, but in places where they play a lot of Man Free or Cover 3, it could definitely work.
matthews getting a running start into those 40's to post those times??? if he is really that fast, where the hell was it on the field???

His 40 times still weren't blazing, but he was miscast as a "slow" player. He really wasn't that slow, but for his junior and senior seasons (AKA his post-Manningham and -Arrington seasons) he was handicapped by having Threet, Sheridan, and true freshmen playing quarterback in an offense that didn't try very hard to get the ball to the outside wide receivers.
I fully believe that if Carr were still the head coach (or if we ran a similar system), Greg Mathews would have been an All Big Ten-caliber player, a notch below the likes of David Terrell and Marquis Walker. Now, neither of those guys did anything in the NFL, and I don't expect Mathews to succeed at the next level, either. But he was a good college receiver.

was always better on the underneath routes out of the slot where he could run into the catch... but as an outside reciever he just wasn't fast enough to stretch the field... walker and avant weren't all that fast either but they could at least create seperation... the QB play the last 2 years didn't help him either, but when he did get the ball he wasn't running away away from anyone...
