Pro Day
The NFL Network is broadcasting the Cal pro day. Anyone have info on how we might watch ours?
There are several players not mentioned as draft prospects, that I feel have NFL potential.
Morgan.Bolden.Ojemudia.Wilson.Etc. Possibly Houma,Kerridge,Ross..etc.
Cheers:)
Go Blue!
And I don't think it's being televised.
You can be a dude for this comment.
Not a dude. A guy, maybe. It's not THAT great a comment.
I don't think our Pro Day (this afternoon) is televised anywhere. There are only eleven players participating.
Edit: Never mind - the 11 figure was from last year's Pro Day.
I've found eleven for this year: Glasgow, Houma, Henry, Kerridge, Rudock, Bolden, Wilson, Ross, Morgan, Lyons, RJS
I used an old site that sources some NFL draft stuff for CBSsports, NFLDraftscout.com. This page will be updated eventually to show the results.
Harbaugh has a dodge ball game scheduled with the scouts at 2PM. I'm not sure if the players work out before or after the game.
Gil Brandt tweeted that Rudock would be a better choice for Denver than Sanchez. He said Jake had a lights out workout today.

it suggested that the football dept. was tweeting video on Vimeo. Those who tweet and/or aren't at work and have up-to-date browsers can check that out and report back.
Bolden a pro?
Easy, guy.
He's long snapping at pro day...
Especially with NFL teams, where the long snapper and the gunners are the only ones that can release early. Still, you have to be a top flight long snapper to get a job there (it's got to get back accurately and with pace), so this may be an effort to do an additional thing to make teams want to carry him outside of just being a LB.
As an aside, Ferris State DL Justin Zimmer is participating in Michigan's pro day and did 44 reps on the bench press, which bests the top performer at the combine this year by 10 reps...
That's pretty beastly. I just looked up the record at the combine, and its 51 (Justin Ernest out of Eastern Kentucky) in 1999
Looks like he only played one year on the practice squad for the Saints. FWIW, Zimmer has been getting quite a bit of publicity recently as a DII player that has a legit shot in the NFL.

Does anyone have any news about Morgan?
Heard he got beat on a wheel route.
Are you him?

To be fair, some people have waited far longer (6-7 years) before their first post, but of course those are the ones that are either very, very good or go very, very south in a hurry. If nothing else, this was just a question.
It would be interesting to see an actual player solicit this blog for an evaluation, if only for the comedic value.
Why don't the smaller conferences (Like the MAC) Just have a conference wide pro day? I feel like while 15 teams might go to Bowling Green's pro day, you'd likely have all 32 at the "MAC Scouting Combine Presented by Dick's."
It seems like it would save the NFL a bunch of time and travel expenses. Instead of having to go to 4-6 schools accross multiple weeks, you can go to one place for two days and see everyone.
yeah i get your point, but my point is you can't invite all eligible players; thus, some would get overlooked...
Will go to a major school's pro day. For instance, the Ferris State kid at Michigan's pro day. If a CMU has a top flight kid, then CMU may host their own, but otherwise, it makes more sense for a big school to host some of these prospects (more scouts for the big school players so the smaller school player has more eyes on him, and possibily additional scouts that want to see the smaller school player so it's a plus for the big school's players as well).
No I am not him. Just a curious relative and I haven't talked to his dad yet.
Where there were broom sticks used against him. Who knew that would forshadow him getting swept out of the league due to his immaturity and boneheaded off the field actions.
I think a lot of people knew.
Rudock is no Johnny Mental Manziel meaning Rudock has his head screwed on right.
Is a classic Belichick late round / FA player. Smart, hard working, passionate and dedicated to his craft. He'll bring someone like Rudock in and develop him as insurance for Garappolo, if progresses, then will turn Garappolo into a trade asset.
Joe Kerridge had an outstanding day according to this

Also...."tight end A.J. Williams ran the 40-yard dash between 4.85 and 4.92 seconds and "caught the ball well in position drills."

Desmond had a very good day. 4.7 in the 40. 22 reps on the bench. He did very well in the cone drills and side to side shuffles. He would have placed very well at the combine.
