Just watched a replay of that game today, what a terrific day (1/27/11) that was.

Wisconsin is the one team I never expect us to win against. Too much stupid shit happens when we play them. Especially in Madison.

Effective FG% for Northwestern - 42.16%
Effective FG% for Indiana - 28.33%
Woof, Indiana. The Wildcats ruined the program - for a few sad hours in Bloomington anyway. That's despite Indiana having an advantage in offensive rebound percentage (27.66% to 17.65%) and a slight advantage in turnover percentage.

is there a positive correlation between rebounding rate and shooting percentage (assuming opponent adjusted)? you'd think that the more defensive rebounds you get, the more fast breaks you'd get, and you generally shoot better there. and the more offensive rebounds you get, the more close shots you get, and you generally shoot better there, too.
just curious.

esp not at IU. Good for the Cats, and always enjoy a nice cup of Schadenfruede on Crean's dime.
