Surprised not to see one yet.

Effective FG% for Northwestern - 42.16%

Effective FG% for Indiana - 28.33%

Woof, Indiana. The Wildcats ruined the program - for a few sad hours in Bloomington anyway. That's despite Indiana having an advantage in offensive rebound percentage (27.66% to 17.65%) and a slight advantage in turnover percentage.

is there a positive correlation between rebounding rate and shooting percentage (assuming opponent adjusted)? you'd think that the more defensive rebounds you get, the more fast breaks you'd get, and you generally shoot better there. and the more offensive rebounds you get, the more close shots you get, and you generally shoot better there, too.

just curious.
