Norfleet finally takes one to the house..we finally show a pass rush.
Norfleet finally takes one to the house..we finally show a pass rush.
Will not see the end zone.
The f outta here with your 17 pt predictions.
6-12 pts. tops
Michigan will start its opening series a little slow and go three and out, the board will go into full-on meltdown mode, but will start to settle into a groove immediately following. The offense will do its part and Devin will deliver his first turnover free performance. I'm still very concerned about the interior offensive line going forward, and if they can't generate any push tomorrow, how do they expect to have any once Big Ten play hits? I'd take a good look at Funk tomorrow night and if his boys don't show any improvement, well, then we might have a problem with him.
The defense will look alright but that'll be more a product of UConn sucking than anything else. We'll still be wondering tomorrow night where the hell the pass rush is. It was nonexistent last week, and I have my doubts that it'll miraculously appear tomorrow night. Akron's QB had all damn day to sit back in the pocket and pick apart the secondary.
42-17 UM. The ship is righted but the questions on defense still linger.
W/ your 17 pt prediction
But Gardner could keep up his streak of pick six's. I hope it ends here at UCONN!
Not sure to last week but this team had issues that need to be fixed as we're still the same team as last year offensively. Mistake prone QB (but better than Denard) that has, at times, had to use his legs to bail us out as we can't get 4 a pop out of the HBs/OL. However, instead of a better web backing up Denard in case of injury it's a true freshman who is known for his howitzer, tommy gun accurate arm more than his legs. Point being that we've heard the "we won't come out like that again" talk before. Players and coaches are what they are right now and right now we have about a 100:1 pass:sack ratio, to go along with a young and inexperienced interior OL. They are who they are. Miller isn't going to turn into Molk because of the Akron game anger, etc. We can't get pressure with 5 & 6 sometimes, let alone 4! Mistakes or not, Devin cannot go down and the more we have to run him like Denard the bigger risk there is for that. Defensively, I dint question Mattison as I think he thought what we all did in that Akron would be a great time to play rotation guys more but I do question how a DL with Washington, Pipkins, Clark, Black, Ojemudia, our most consistent performer I won't even name and a young pass rushing specialist in Taco cannot get to the QB with 4-5 when our HC is a DL guy and Mattison is so respected that other teams use his schemes and also happened to DC in the NFL. I question why this team can't generate anything but a pile a second after the snap with those two coaching them and then I see Purdue all over nd (as well as scrub teams all across the country at least getting pressure on top tier teams). Why not just line Taco, Clark and Ojemudia excessively wide and gave them at less force the QB up into our DTs? Why no spin moves, hand movement, succeed, etc? All we do is bull rush it seems and with Black at the inside it's boom or bust at best as he is too small to be there but his speed occasionally gets past his man. Offensively, what is so hard? You have a freak in Funchess, Butt is playing well, Dileo is a Patriot style slot machine, Gallon is always open within 20 yards despite size and Chesson is, in fact, a WR that is 6-2 and fast. WTF is the issue? Run sets up pass but we can also set up run by passing. I guess my point is it drives me nuts seeing msu turn a white QB or some kid off the streets into a solid WR or Iowa turning anyone they want into solid WRs when we HAVE SOLD WRs but don't use them properly. Lately, they take what is given in 5 yard ins, outs, slants, etc and we're always looking for the big play our running overly complicated plays. It's not hard. Line up with Funchess, Dileo, Gallon and Chesson all day long and take what is given. When they play pass, you then establish a run game. I hate to say it but look at the offenses of msu/iowa over that last half decade. For the talent they had, what they got out of them was amazing because football is easy. For a few years there msu was lining up a converted QB and Blair White at WR, torching us with dinks and dunks that we gave them by cushion. Then, we'd defend that and despite having an atrocious OL (last year or the year before they started a converted DL with no OL experience against us) and due to the pass they ran the ball. We have talent but we hold then back and I have no idea why!?! The game is so easy but we make it hard sometimes. So, I expect a win but I don't expect this team to turn into what they aren't over a week. As for nd-msu, I go nd as msu has a new philosophy and aside from Burbridge I dint see them outscoring nd. osu with another tough test that could go to the wire. Tough schedule this year with......sorry...lmao...had to. Now back to more Nyquil as I'm sick as balls! Don't complain about format/length if you don't know the crap that is the droid app. I warned you so read and give opinion (agreed and disagreed welcome as always) or pass, move on. /Nyquil should be illegal. It's like 100 proof lol. GO BLUE!!!!!
with Swype and the droid app (and my highness) this is unreadable. Sorry, all. ha
I was pretty much right. what a joke.
We do have a lot of offensive weapons, it will just take a few more games to gel. I hope the interior OL will improve here by November along with the DLine putting pressure on the QB! But I think it will all come together by November. I like this team since they do have a lot of potential. They have just got to gel!
Akron was no fluke. UConn 28, Michigan 21.
Brandon fires Hoke, begs Rich Rod and GERG to return, they turn him down. Les Miles turns him down. Mary Sue fures Brandon, hires Kirk Ferentz to run program, and renames Michigan "Iowa."
State 0, ND 0
90,000 fans and millions watching on TV poke out their own eyeballs.
Michigan's 2nd and 3rd team should take care of UCONN!
Michigan - 35 Uconn - 12 expecting that the 2nd string & other backups would see lots of time in the 2nd half and that Hoke would have no strong motivation to run up the score.
After last week, I'm sure the motivation for a big score is there, but I fear that the team will initially be too uptight to play smoothly. So I'll just stay with that and see what happens.
52-10 Michigan over UConn, 24-20 ND over MSU.
I feel like you have to earn the right to predict 30+ point blowouts for your own team. Right now, I haven't seen much that leads me to believe that we will just walk in and hang 50 on these guys. I don't buy into the absurd notion that last Saturday was purely the result of some deficiency in mental preparedness. Maybe it had a little to do with it, but not enough to predict a crazy blowout for an away game against a team that is probably as good or a little better than the one we faced at home last week.
MSU 3 ND 0
prediction: lots of beer, giving all the spartys shit on twitter, a huge mich win. and oh, a northfleet touchdown. talked to him after the game last week when he came out of the tunnel and i told him we were all waiting for him to bust one deep. he looked me dead in the eye and said - next week...guarantee it - so look out for that. he also signed my sons shoe, cuz he said he wants to run as fast as him lol
