I've been saving my Bell's Planet Series: Mars for tonight.

For some reason, I thought yesterday was Thursday and got all fired up right before I left work.  I was disappointed to find out from my wife that it was Wednesday...

So they want to kick off before any other game and have everyone watching their shiny new network!

It's gross, they had a month of straight SEC on ESPN Classic, nothing else. That way they could put their countdown clock to the SEC Network on the ESPN Classic 24/7.

Now every promo on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU is for this game, which is automatically pushing the SEC Network.

Hopefully it dies down after a month, but I doubt it. They're getting their own College Gameday that is just SEC talk. Which is ironic because the current College Gameday is only SEC talk until a sexual assualt charge, Catfishing, or crab legs are involved.

They're pushing the biggest game of the day...

But they're the reason it's the biggest game of the day is what I'm saying. It directly/indirectly gave them every reason to push their new network by taking the biggest game of the day and putting it on the SEC Network and make it a random 6pm time so it's the only thing CFB fans will watch. It's the opener.

BTN kind of tried this when they put Michigan/MSU on BTN, I believe it was in their contract or something that they somehow got a big time game or something or another...I can't remember, but at the time, there was no reason for that game to be on BTN. Hell, there still isn't. But it certainly brought B1G fans to their network.

I have a feeling the game this game is going to be painful to watch.

You never know though.  Scar's weakness, based on my ten minutes of research, should be the secondary and if there is an offensive scheme that can take advantage of it the air raid would be it.

He was passed out in a planter. Google image it. It was also the theme of Thujone's prevailandride season preview. Although he might have also passed out at a Whataburger , in which case, he's well on his way to becoming Manziel's apprentice.

I wasn't sure what he meant.  I couldn't figure out if there was a store or restaurant named planters or if it was a campus location I knew nothing about.

Boy, the aggie qbs are... different.

Wouldn't be surprised to find out an oklahoma resident carried him from the Whataburger to the planter.

If you like bread at least.

One of the things I do miss from Michigan is Whitecastle.  Fast food wise.

I don't consider the pizza place that delivers deep dish pizzas fast food (left out the name on purpose).

It's impossible to find an actual deep dish pizza place where I live.

They're going up against College Gameday and the first one of the year...I'll definitely be flipping back and forth.

It'll be awesome to wake up to college football like they do on the west coach though.

They could easily play that game at noon EST and it not be late in Ireland...problem is, I bet both teams want to get back to the States ASAP so it doesn't affect their game/practice schedule the following week. If they leave by 3pm they should be back home before midnight which keeps them on track for week 2.

Some pretty good games actually - GA v Clemson should be good.  FSU v OK State should be good; surprised OK State is not ranked but I dont follow them closely. They quietly are putting together a lot of double digit win seasons and have a man as a coach.  Will be interesting to see how Wiscy hangs with LSU - I am afraid for them with their losses on defense.
