Practice video from today
Mostly drill work. Big Will mauls Thomas Gordon, which should probably be expected.

Thanks for that.
I can't believe Gardner has recovered so well from his injury! He's up and throwing already. Wow, Mike Barwis must be a rehab god to get him to that point. After seeing how severe his injury was after the last game he played in, I thought he might never play again.

The link wasn't working for me.
December 20th, 2010 at 2:25 PM ^
Gawd, it's almost embarrassing how fired up that got me. I didn't realize how much I've been missing Michigan football.
December 18th, 2010 at 3:48 PM ^
No matter how desperate we get, there is no reason to put Jibreel Black at DB
December 18th, 2010 at 3:55 PM ^
I was thinking he'd be better served practicing not getting mauled by run blockers. The opportunities for a DE to pick off a pass aren't that common. Assuming the 1.5 minutes of that video included each drill the team practiced, which is a safe assumption, I think I've pinpointed the defense's problems. The lineman are practicing catching passes while the DBs are practicing shedding blockers. GERG needs to realize those drills should be switched.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:06 PM ^
as though he was looking at his hand or finger after that botched catch. He sure is looking big!
December 18th, 2010 at 10:19 PM ^
Never say never!
December 18th, 2010 at 3:49 PM ^
Cam Gordon looking a wee bit slow there at the end. I'm not surprised it didn't work out at FS.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
You probably shouldn't assume that was his first one of the day. That was a pretty long drill of stop/start, I'm not surprised he was semi-gassed at the end.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
Still though, it's the end of the season. These guys are in tip top shape.
December 18th, 2010 at 6:51 PM ^
Numerous times Cam has proven he didn't have speed to play FS. While trying to chase down Rudolph, the fumble recovery for touchdown against Indiana just two I can remember off the top of my head.
Love him at the hybrid position though, he hits hard and looks like a good blitzer.

Fumble recovery for touchdown against Purdue*
December 18th, 2010 at 10:25 PM ^
to be fair, Adam Patterson was step for step with him

What does the green jersey symbolize?
December 18th, 2010 at 4:21 PM ^
The green jersey is for "limited contact." Players who are banged up but still able to practice will usually wear those to indicate that opposing players should "pull up" when coming into contact.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:07 PM ^
Wow the number 3 pony looks like he could really step up and become a player soon,
thanks for the vid!
December 18th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
Big pony 3 does look solid. But is he willing to set aside his ego for the team. It looks like he has an attitude.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
I would have died on that last drill. I didn't think it was ever going to end.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
I dont think Greg should be worried about anything but where his ass will be, come Jan 2nd. His ass is out of there!
December 18th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
I listened to the post-game presser after watching that. A couple interesting notes included RR saying there were times this season where they thought about playing Furman, but he's glad that he will be able to redshirt and thinks he will be a good player. Also mentioned Richard Ash as someone who could be good down the road.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
He said at an earlier press conference that Ash, DL Talbott and Wilkins were looking good. I sure hope he's right.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
I'm really hoping that DL Talbott will be his nameplate.
December 18th, 2010 at 4:46 PM ^
Did anyone else notice how small the ball looked in DG's hands? Dude's got some huge mitts. Also, I didn't see Tate getting into the rotation. I saw Denard then DG then Denard again. Hopefully that doesn't mean anything.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
My guess would be that they're working on another drill somewhere else. You can't get everyone involved at one time in the same drill.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:24 PM ^
Tate was waiting in line for his turn right after DG. Im sure his reps just didnt make the cut for the video.
December 18th, 2010 at 6:26 PM ^
I was there (high school coaches were invited) and Tate only participated in the exchange drills, he threw maybe 2 passes all practice. When he ran, he sort of held his right arm close to his body. Also, he didn't participate in the hour long scrimmage, Gardner took the 2nd team snaps, Kennedy took the 3rd team snaps, and Gallon got a few snaps simulating Reif. My assumption was that it's nothing major since he was standing alonside for all the drills and took reps when they were installing plays at the start
December 18th, 2010 at 5:19 PM ^
new uniforms. We have really expanded the color scheme. I did not get to see the helmets however. I am also pretty pumped we are going to be able to use horses on the field. Can you imagine the speed of a Denard ridden horse? Blinding.
Good post! I am off to Macy's to purchase the new unis.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:28 PM ^
Where can i buy the new uniforms at?? I must know this.....
December 18th, 2010 at 5:34 PM ^
Watching these videos is as satifsfying for me as Spongebob is for my kids. Like crack for the eyes.
Why does an ad producer think guys with their collar up will make another guy want to do anything but punch said guys in the face let alone buy something? Also, POLO has to be the worst cologne on the planet with the exception of Old Spice.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:40 PM ^
I was told if it weren't for Old Spice, I wouldn't be around today.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:58 PM ^
Old Spice, hemp and incense might make an intoxicating mixture.
December 18th, 2010 at 6:30 PM ^
good sir.
December 18th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
All of those pretty boy model foofs should be whacked with a polo mallet.
December 18th, 2010 at 7:17 PM ^
You obviously havn't been to a UofM frat party recently.
December 19th, 2010 at 6:49 PM ^
it's the same with shoes these days too. Leave the 80s in the 80s, man.
December 18th, 2010 at 6:11 PM ^
Video isn't playing for me
December 18th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
Anybody else notice, "We are a family" playing in the background?
Wow.
December 19th, 2010 at 6:41 PM ^
it starts at about 1:20
December 18th, 2010 at 8:39 PM ^
According to RR presser they will apply for a medical redshirt for Gardner. Why was he practicing?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:28 PM ^
I was wondering the same thing.
Can't be good for the application when there's video footage of him practicing and his back looks fine.
December 18th, 2010 at 9:35 PM ^
Yeah, it was less than two minutes of footage, but man, I needed a fix. It's been too long.
