And Barking Sphincter/King of Belch/IJJS
well that's just, like, your opinion, man
And Barking Sphincter/King of Belch/IJJS
I really couldn't stand Dex. I actually used to get in e-pissing matches with Chitown Blue because I associated him with Dex. These days it seems like I agree with damn near everything Chitown says.
When I think of the most sordid, dreary, and discomfiting moments of the Rodriguez tenure, I think of Dex. (Note that one can either be a supporter or critic of Rodriguez and still find dark moments over those three years; no argument is to be provoked hereby!)
Hard Edge Week.
he and I shared some moments.
Just aren't the same without him.
being gone. His random posts in the middle of the night were always entertaining to me, possibly because they seemed to be at like 12:30 on a Friday night/Saturday morning and yours truly had consumed a few beverages that seem to make everything interesting.
Though he changed his account name after he said "be nice" when he thought the Spartans were going to lose.
He did that after BiSB told him that he could kind of "cave himself" by changing his username. If you go to the moderator action sticky on the app you should be able to see most of that conversation. I'd also take a look at BiSB's retirement thread in the app for more reasons he gave for his departure.
I wonder how many of my favorites faded in 2010 as the tide went out on Coach Rodriguez.
What ever happened to that John Belushi look-a-like Waggles?
Complete fraud, but he was entertaining. It was a he, right?
Unclear. At one point he/she was claiming to be a brunette girl and demanded thanks for "inspiring" Brandon Gibbons.
Why didn't RDT ever post again after he/she was outed? Or did I just miss it?
Did one of the mods delete the account? What's the worst that could have happened had he/she explained why besides some name calling, etc?
I need closure.
Not sent to Bolivia, not deleted, not caved, not blocked, 374 points, karma value of 2. As far as mods go, he's a user in good standing.
He (?) started posting under different usernames ("MGoKate" was one, I think.).
I wouldn't be surprised if he's Herm, too, who is another of my favorites.
Wolverine in a bag, right?
But if I recall right, there may have been two or more different people using the RDT account trying to start up their own recruiting blog. Or that's what I think he posted in a thread. (I'd go back and look if I gave a damn) Regardless, hilarious epic failure. What's funny, is that RDT was wildly popular and it might have worked. The more I live, the more I'm convinced God has a great sense of humor.
started posting after we picked up a bunch of the 2013 recruits... I figured with it being slow and not much to forward to, until spring ball, it was a mod or Brian generating clicks. Needless to say, it was entertaining
What about the poser WarDamnEagle
RDT could probably make good money writing $1 fiction books and selling them on Kindle.
Ninja something or other...he did fake chat room convos during the RR era. Don't know what happened to those but I enjoyed them
Yes! I'd forgotten all about this, so I had to look it up. Here is a link to one of the later ones, and it inclues links to all of the posts from the beginning of the 2010 season.
Awesome, thanks for the link, one of my favorites
Those were hilarious. Thanks for the link!
Dear God I'd forgotten about Boutros. Never have I identified a poster with his avatar so closely. If anyone can dig up the radio show he called into, that would be amazing. I miss that beautiful bastard.
EDIT: Whoa, i just realized something while googling old em0 threads. One of his many screen names was BlueAdams. I also frequent a Red Wings board called Lets Go Wings and there is a poster there, named BlueAdams, who is notorious for posting "lines threads" where he gives a sentence or two of rambling opinions and then posts his idea of what lines Mike Babcock should run. em0 may be dead and banished on mgoblog but he lives on at LGW.
I always liked to imagine that em0 matured a little and is an active member of this community on some new account.
The Knowledge, by far.
He swore Michigan was going to win the bowl game since he was going. Good thing I didn't go to Vegas with that tip.
Where are all these posters? Bolivia?
Yes. I can confirm this. They're all tan.
Pretty much everyone who participated in the haloscan post-a-thons during Coaching Search #1.
I didn't start posting until after Haloscan because it and everyone in there scared the shit out of me. Knew approximately nothing about football at the time and figured I'd get ripped a new one if I said anything. Ah, the good old days!
The Haloscan Era
I really miss the fun times with handle jacking on Haloscan
I had just had foot surgery and was laid up for a couple weeks right in the middle of all that. Needless to say, I F5'd my ass off.
handlejackings were the best
Agree, I participate a lot less now that that's not possible
I am with you. The divide that existed amongst the fan base during the RR years was actually insanely entertaining. Now that things have gotten back to where they used to be it seems rather dull.
Tom Hagan got exactly what he wanted at the end of the 2010 season. I would imagine that he is happily posting with a handle instead of his real name.
Short-lived but epic...ally stupid.
One vote for THE PARTY ROOM. Guy was pure class
our former recruiting guru TomVH.
But not for the reason you think.
I miss Irish.
I greatly enjoyed THE PARTY ROOM during his run.
TPryor. Not many people get the parody account right, but he/she was always spot-on.
FYI: formerlyanonymous is alive and well on Twitter: @formerlyanon
...always seeks a bigger audience
I hope I'm thinking of him tomorrow.
Mike Thomas/Gus Johnson still haunt him in his sleep.
It'd be nice to get a "hi guys" post from some of these folks just to know that they're doing well (even if they don't want to continue posting). Hopefully they've all left by choice rather than physical/emotional necessity.
Who was the one that really flamed out at the end? MrMario? That was a meltdown if I'd ever seen one.
Can someone link to the thread. I didn't see what happened in the end
It was the Conley to Ohio thread BiSB started. Ace caved him and locked the thread.
yeah, Mr.Mario86 or somethinh like that. Thing was, I remember him not being so bad when he first signed up. It was obvious he was just a young kid, but he somewhat contributed or at least didn't detract from the blog with his posts. Then over the last few months of his MGoExistence he started trolling real hard and getting pissed at the first sign of any criticism...until he finally just completely snapped. Adolescence is a bitch.
CPS, Other Chris, Other Brian, Big Redacted, Rick Mahorn
You know you're an internet success when your name becomes a meme.
And on the more positive Raback doesn't post enough anymore.
Big [Redacted] Pussy, Big Boutros, Irish, King of Belch. The haloscan/ early board days in general. It was like the summer of love.
I worry about anyone who actually misses King of Belch. Some people are obnoxious; he really seemed to be antisocial in a clinical sense.
That guy was great.
The guy they got to replace him, though...
not so much
alone, but DarkBlue was my fucking homie.
I miss his thoughts but I don't miss his avatars. That lady with the horn was disgusting.
Watching the negs pile up during an epic meltdown was addicting.
I maintain that it was not a man, however. It was a computer program created for just one thing. To post ಠ_ಠ at the most oddly correct moments in history.
This was definitely the best poster in the history of MgoBlog.
Nebraskagirl or whatever that user seemed really nice for a year or so then made a thread and trolled everyone
Me and some other guy who I can't remember the name of were the ones that exposed him/her/it.
It was in the postgame thread from the Michigan-nebraska game, the poster was Husker4Life. And they posted like they were a Michigan fan talking like a regular poster. It was a RDT type thing.
Creepy thing is, that poster who posed as a female nebraska fan could still be posting on here and could be a regular. It's a space odyssey.
I have my suspicions that somebody fits this description already. Tonight she/he/it posted this:
"I'm not gonna neg you, bro...not at all....but its effing Ohio."
No woman uses the word "bro."
Terrlle Pryor. I loved when that whole thing was going down.
Just vanished... vanished! How can you all be so calm about this?!? People are missing!
"Dufresne... party of 4... Dufresne...
Brown; search party of 4. You can eat when you find the Dufresnes...
But "I only post in gifs" had an amazing run. I think he still has the karma record.
Still has a karma of 4. Astonishing.
After doing so once in 22 weeks.
and some of the posters in those epic halsocan threads -- like chunks the hobo recounting waking up from a dream, being peed on by bill martin. handle-jacking just made it that much more crazy and entertaining.
I don't know why he left other than him being a dick. Entertaining, but a dick nonetheless
the old days when you would be the first one to post on a new thread and you would do so by posting "first"......oh those were the days.
What the heck ever happened to Big Bourtros? Like someone said earlier his and Big Redacted's avatars were easy to remember.
Also no one has mentioned the big_house_500th. I don't think bouje posts here anymore either.
Those were some epic threads / meltdowns. He's probably the guy I felt the worst about melting down over the years.
big_house_500th is around with a new name, we're no longer fighting so I won't disclose his new name again. Bouje still pops off every once in a while and tweets like the degenerate fiend that he always was.
<Yes, I'm a WLA lurker>
Some great thoughts and memories reading through this, but my all time fave has to be Chunks the Hobo.
Steve Sharik and G. Simmons.
Miss his cryptic insider tid-bits.
The Other Brian and Big Bourtros are two I miss.
The Barking Sphincter.
