Right about now, Michigan fans in New Orleans should be burning down the town.
Y'all owe it as a public service to those of us stuck at home to tell us your post-game Bourbon St. celebration stories.
Don't hold nothin' back.
I want to be there so bad right now.
Hurricanes . . . Po' Boys . . . topless girls with lots of beads. . . deuling pianos playing "Temptation" and "Hawaiian War Chant". I SO want to be there right now.
You haven't lived until you throw a Po' Boy at a topless girl!
I have beer and I'm happy to be here right now. So far I've seen nothing crazy
Then go do something crazy!
A block off bourbon now, needed to get some food. I've had enough crazy over the past few years, it's nice to just enjoy this (and remember it)
Just sipping rye, listening to assorted tunes on low volume while the gal snores, waiting until I pass out or the grin wipes off my face.
In more exciting story news, the last time I was in NOLA we did have to check out of our hotel room and check back into the same hotel to avoid our room, which after two people threw up their Hurricanes all night looked like a brutal murder scene from Dexter. So you crazy kids can put that in your pipe and smoke it right there.
sick blues band. hurricanes and cigarettes. just starting
"Burning down the town"? Sparty On!
Looking for somewhere to post this but the Superdome's announcer (also Saints announcer) was absolutely horrible. Like how he has a job is beyond me horrible. For people not there, you know when Carl Grapentine (our announcer) accidentally doesn't turn his microphone offf, or makes a mistake, the announcer did that every play and said, "Uh, umm Bellomy on the run, wait, uh no, Smith! Smith on the run. Vincent Smith!"
Know what the hell was going on. Fustrating as hell.
...Elmer Fudd and the sheriff in Cool Hand Luke. "Fust down" sounded like "touchdown." I so wanted to hear him say "what we have here is a failure to communicate."
Saw a Virginia Tech O-lineman and he randomly yelled at me, "Hey! If you can't beat em, join em! Go Blue!"
Do they look the other way and let the players drink when it is all over?
Apparently. I've seen plenty of players with cups of questionable contents. RVB just tweeted for everyone to joing the team partying at one specific club.
The highlight of Bourbon Street tonight was watching Ricky Barnum lead blocking for Denard as he was swarmed by fans.
That club was rocking that night. When Junior walked in, they pulled him up on stage and the guy with the mic yelled "MVP IN THE HOUSE". Everyone cheered and started chanting "MVP! MVP! MVP!"
RVB was in a boot at the club. They had a small area roped off for the players, although most of them were on stage dancing with the Block M flag until fans started filling up the stage.
I've told a lot of people this, but the players are celebrities in Ann Arbor, but they were rock stars after the game in the hotel lobby and on Bourbon Street.
MVP leaving the hotel
To party, or to return home?
Woo .....just back from bourbon st and ordering a pizza
I so wish I could be out and about....alas I'm still a minor AND have the whammy of having to leave at 6am to drive back. But I'm at the Crowne Plaza and it sounds crazy
walked down bourbon with denard. I said thank you. he said thank you more
this is actually so awesome. what a player. what a kid.
Van Bergen smoking a well deserved victory cigar. Also Mike Martin and Junior. One of the players sisters said they have an early plane tomorrow am, so their curfew is 8 a.m.
I saw Mike Martin outside their hotel taking a picture with someone, so I asked if he would mind taking one with me. He pulled his phone up to his ear and said "yea...mom...mom...mom...hold on... hold...hold on" and he took the picture with me. I felt bad taking him away from a phone call with his mom and I wouldn't have asked if I knew he was on the phone, but from the sounds of it, I think she might have been more excited than he was.
That you, Keith Stone...err, Gibbons?
Yikes! He should have listened to Lloyd Carr's advice and abstained. If he ends up with Meticulous Hamburglarism, I won't feel bad for him.
A stripper at Little Darlings told me she didnt think it was a catch either.
I was saw Dhani Jones. No bow tie. Got a picture with Big Will, Devin and Mike Martin. Seperate pictures.
Also I am pretty sure I saw Daryl Stonum. Is he traveling with the team?
Was out partying and Steve Watson stole my drink.
