usually I'd be buzzed/drunk and getting rowdy at this point, but the girlfriends parents are in town so I'm sitting on the couch sober and will be going out to a nice dinner later. After which, of course, I will get drunk and have a real wool lime.

Wow.  ND recievers making Rees look good.  He chucked one up to avoid another sack that got brought in, then threw the ball behind his man for a TD.

WVU is not good. They struggled to put away Baylor, and allowed 31 points to Marshall. The only reason they were rated as high as they were is because they scored a bunch on Texas, but Texas does not have a good defense. People want to believe they do because they're Texas, but they don't.

I wouldn't mind if ND won out. It's about whatever's best for us in these type of situations. As long as Bama keeps destroying people and ND wins with that schedule, we look very good as long as we take care of business on our end.

We clearly aren't the best in the nation, 'bama showed us that. So all that matters is being best in the Big Ten, and that has nothing to do with ND. Additionally, this year big ten wins are less impressive to pollsters. If this was bball and we cared about making the tourney, I would agree with you. But in football, I don't think ND"s success matters.

And I don't like them.

That's what I'm talking about. Who likes ND? But its not about that. All personal feelings aside, those are two good losses that will help us out down the road if we go undefeated the rest of the way. It is what it is if you like them or not.

Can BK stop the QB charade finally? I know Golson gives them more flexibility and causes the D to prepare differently, but every game they bring in Rees to close the deal. I'm not crazy about Rees either but why not just give him the job? I know the ND fans hate him but they'd have quite the different record without him.

True but he either leaves with injury or is replaced by Rees every game. Before the season started I thought they'd be crazy to start Rees, but their offense has been stagnant with Golson and moves the ball decent with Rees. I know it's situational too (2 minute drills vs regular game/offense) but I feel like it'd be worth a shot. Allow their offense to have some consistency.
