Positive story (Jourdan Lewis) - Detroit Free Press

Submitted by Millen2014 on

"Nick Saban saw Jourdan Lewis working out, and he was walking around saying, 'Who is this kid?' " Wilcher said, chuckling. "I was just laughing because Coach Saban was going crazy. Because Jourdan Lewis is making phenomenal catches, snatching the ball out of the air for interceptions with one hand, doing everything. He doesn't know who the kid is, so he gets on his phone and he calls all his coaches and recruiting coordinator and had them come over … 'How in the hell can you miss this kid? He's the best athlete that I've ever seen in my life.' It was real funny."

For Saban, used to getting what he wants, it was the height of frustration hearing that Lewis was unquestionably headed to Michigan.

On iPhone and can't edit: but on a serious note, awfully proud of Lewis for his accomplishments so far this season. Go Blue and here's to a bright future! Edit: Oh, dear silent down-voters; you are indeed special flowers.

Add JMFR, he's getting better every game on the inside. I just wish Frank Clark was more consistent, I feel like there's an entire level of him he still hasn't tapped and time's running out - does anybody else think if we landed one of our DE prospects from last class Clark might've been an unstoppable edge rushing OLB?

We act like because he isn't Terrell Suggs he's a disappointment. The guy came in at 217 lbs as a low 3 star guy, and now he is a legit power 5 defensive end making tfl's every week at 280 and he hasn't lost a step. The one consistent unit on this team is the d-line and Frank Clark is a big part of that. If he has another level of untapped potential, it will come in the nfl.

I stated on here at the beginning of the year that it was an injustice he wasn't starting at CB. Of course I got neg by a lot of people. I wonder what those same people think now.

prob the same people wanted morris at QB despite gardner being only competent QB on roster or same people arguing frank clark still just about to break out into that all american.  anyone who argued lewis should not have been starting game 1 this year does not understand the game

Pair him with Peppers and it's the best CB duo in the Big Ten. It also shows Saban sees talent very well. Fuck the Freep. Since when do they write something nice about us?
