Nice little hype article on Kellen Jones and his exploits

If you don't want to click, here's a relevant sample:
Kellen Jones, a linebacker from Houston St. Pius X, gave U-M an oral commitment Thursday and his highlight reel is thrilling -- from jumping the pile near the goal line to stripping the
"The first time the lights came on when he was at linebacker we knew," Kimball said. "There were wow moments and he continued to make plays."
Thanks, but I'll choose not to click since the Freep still won't respond to the fair criticisms leveled at the honesty of their paper...and not just in the sports section.
Is it time to refine our freep boycott? Should we start clicking through to stories that are positive to Michigan while boycotting the cheap-shots? Perhaps through positive reinforcement of positive press and punishment of negative press, they might get the message. As a floundering entity in a dying media, they should be cognizant of the financial consequences of the slant of their coverage. There is a reason why the local papers covering every other major college program support their local(-ish) teams - generally, biting the hand that feeds you is a bad move.
Might such an approach work, or am I simultaneously overrating the power of the mgoblog fanbase and the rationality of those at the freep?
Perhaps the Freep has been a bit more positive since the Detroit News has been increasing online hits drastically compared to them?
I don't really think the Freep learned a thing since they have refused to seriously answer the direct questions about their ethics in and outside of the sports pages.
I clicked, all it says is he has a good tape, don't waste your time beyond the summary above.
but only to irk the people who think clicking a Freep link is a heinous crime.
I clicked 10x with two different browsers. This is like the bobblethon right?
Your acerbic wit truly is like no other. It is a ray of sunshine on a preseason Saturday morning that otherwise would have no meaning. It is surely matched only by your love for all things Maize and Blue. Hats off to you, my dickless friend, for your always insightful and priceless contributions to the board ... or should I say shirts? You make me want to be a better person.
The Freep has run a feel-good story about UM. I stand corrected.
Apology accepted.
I hate hell!
...I'd see the day when Hell froze over... twice.
I doubt they have the technology to classify stories as "positive to UM" or "negative to UM" then analyze the clicks on those stories. I'll play it safe. No click for me.
I'll never fucking click. Those assholes are dead to me.
