Positive article about Ty Isaac
There had been some rumblings that Ty was not fully motivated, but this seems to put that to rest. He is down to a solid 236 lbs. and determined to prove that he is 'the guy'. IMHO he definitley is.
When does the updated team roster come out?
However, they have not updated it as of yet. For example, Chris Fox is still listed. So, maybe Mon or Tues.

How is he definitely the guy? It can't even be based off of stars because Green was a 5-star highly rated prospect.
It would be nothing short of awesome if all 4 of these running backs live up to their HS star ratings, however, most of that will depend on the OL's ability to function like a cohesive unit. If so, LOOK OUT!

I just hope whoever is deemed 'the guy', they can quickly identify the correct hole (twss) and pick up a doggone blitz.
Saw this picture today on the News' Media Day gallery. Green continues to look soft. Smith looks like a beast.

I wasn't trying to make an assessment of their ability to run the ball, which would be very difficult from one still shot, but make an assessment of their general body composition. When I said Smith was looked like a beast, I meant it looks like he has put a lot of work in the gym. Green may have been putting out the same effort, but the results look far different. It seems Green has been struggling to identify and hit his ideal weight since he has been at Michigan and Smith has alway seemed one step ahead of him in conditioning. Based on the media day pictures, that trend seems to be continuing. And yes, I am sure that Green could crush me. I was not comparing his conditioning to mine, but to the other members of the team, specifically Smith, who looks physically ready to assume the bulk of the carries.

That's no different than anytime in the past. Smith has always looked like a beast, but he's not a dynamic runner. He's one of the slowest backs in my memory of watching Michigan football.

Break the post into stanzas and it kind of makes sense as poetry, though it seemingly has little to do with Ty Issac.
"The Bomb...Back?" by Blue Day
Back in the day,
We would pound the rock,
Then Bo would
throw the bomb.
My dream is,
Some future star catches,
The bomb this year
for a TD.
That would mean
That my team is back.
I'd take a Championship
to boot.
Yes. This will be the best post I see for the rest of the day. Maybe the week. +1
This board's seeming unanimous indiference towards Ty seems to suggest he's not going to be a factor. Probably sounds stupid, but when this board collecitvely believes something it usually turns out true. Can't recall an instance that disproves this off the top of my head.

There you go again, acting like we got an inelastic product when we dont.

Chris Perry was the last RB with 16 rushing TD's (18 in 2003).

Wow, that's a strange amount of confidence in a guy who was in Harbaugh's doghouse this spring.
Toby Gerhart had 28 touchdowns in 2009, but otherwise, the leading touchdown scorers for Stanford had 8, 15, and 15 rushing touchdowns. I doubt that a guy coming out of the doghouse will get enough chances to gain 1,200 yards or score 16 touchdowns.

I find your overinflated ego coupled with your lack of actual football knowledge hilarious. Your avatar also fits you perfectly. I can't tell if you are a troll or if you actually are this crazy. Maybe both. One thing is certain: this is the first time I've ever upvoted someone who is so blatantly ignorant of the situation and it will probably be the only time. I tip my cap to you good sir.

Magnus, I usually agree with your assessments of players and situations, but I think you're wrong about this "dog-house" business. He had a hammy inury in the spring. That will limit everything under the sun when it comes to football. I don't think, however "quirky" Harbaugh is, that he would fault a guy's motivation simply because he's injured. You can't really demonstrate too much of any of your abilities with an injury that hampers everything about your job. Nonetheless, you may have some inside information that we're all missing. Was it an attitude thing?

You're entitled to your opinion about whether I'm wrong about the situation or not.
I'm sure he appreciates you allowing him to have his own opinion.

You mean like when Hoke's golden poop turned to, um, real poop?? Not even going to mention the Nussmier bandwagon... oh well, i was gladly on board both of these board favorites. Long live Harbaugh!!!
I think this guy is going to have a monster year for some reason.
August 7th, 2015 at 10:58 PM ^
I'm afraid that he might have to work his way out of the doghouse with Harbaugh. We'll see. I think De'Veon Smith begins the year as the starter.

Where did you hear he Ty Issac has been in the doghouse and for what reason(s)? I haven't heard of anything bad he has done. I was hoping this kid is lights out this year.

I'm wondering the same thing. He left USC as a highly recruited back to come sit a year at Michigan so he could play for us, that wouldn't put him in any doghouse as far as I can see.
I highly highly doubt Harbaugh would hold a grudge from his Stanford days and him being at USC .
