Posbang Off: Two Free Tix to the Victor

Submitted by Seth on

The question: Who would you take if you could bring any living human to Saturday's football game with you?

The contest: Answer and whoever's got the most upvotes by 2:30 pm EDT tomorrow wins…

The spoils: …a pair of tickets to this Saturday's football game. Printable ones. Don't know where in the stadium but from the guy who donated them guessing pretty decent.

The fine print: No I'm not chasing you down. I move on to the next guy if you don't respond to email within an hour, or maybe a little longer if I haven't bothered to move onto the next guy yet.

Explanation: One of our readers this week offered to donate the remainder of his season tickets to MGoBlog, and charged us to find creative ways to make sure they find good homes. Yes, I have better ideas than this, but this is Miami, and not even That Miami, and this was pretty last minute.

Yes you can post and not enter. Just say NO ENTRY or something right at the start.

You will pay more for parking than tickets. I hope everyone goes to the game who wants to go. It will never be more affordable.

I am totally confident that you can get tickets for $10 before kick off. My wife works at the U hospital and they are giving away tickets to docs.

I DO NOT want to see empty sections of the stadium but it doesn't look good. This happens at MSU too so it is not just a U of M issue.

As much as we all like to bitch about the coaching, there is nothing quite like going to a Big House game in the fall, especially with your kid for their first time. The "holy shit " look in their eyes when they enter the stadium, an hearing the band (not piped in crap) is priceless.

I can tell also you many of the players are great guys that we would all be proud of and are still focused on winning a big10 title.

I do wish the Athletic Department would have donated 1000's of extra tickets to Motts rather than all these mindless promotions that devalue season tickets. What's going on on StubHub is plain sad.

and having great barbequed food and assorted drinks, mingling with some UM celebs and fun people, being 5 minutes from the gate, watching field hockey or the Big House boards from your car for starters....  btw if you leave right now you can get closer free parking.

he initiated me into Michigan Football but we haven't been as close as either of us wished we were anymore (at least that's my hope) due to our inability to show true emotional attachment. I would love for The Big House to be the catalyst for fixing that.

I would take my 85 year old grandpa who graduated from UOfM in the early 50s. I'm not sure if it would be possible given his need to carry an oxygen tank with him, but I would love to do it.

Jim Tressel. Just so I can grill him all game on the ins and outs of that operation in Columbus. It would also be great to force him to watch a Michigan win in person, which is something he's rarely seen. No entry please, I have a golf outing and will probably be tanked at noon

My son, who is 8 years old and will be playing his first game in pads early on Saturday. Loves to play DL, mainly because he can push the other kid down. He is eager to try his swim move for the first time.

Mrs Stephen R Kass. I want to know if she's the bitch from the board or a sweetheart that looks out for her husband

She's a lifelong Michigan fan, hence, it's my only mathematical chance no matter how remote but WTF. Spouse might understand since she has her own celebrity pass. Willing to post photos and vids on Reddit or WikiLeaks with me obscured.

I would take my dad who is suffering from malignant melanoma stage 3. With taking him to his interferon treatments and having all his right auxiliary lymph nodes removed I have been trying to find a way to spend one more Saturday at the big house with my dad.

I just emailed MGoBlog@gmail. I have two tickets I would also like to contribute to this. I am going to the game but I still have 2 available and would like to give them to someone in this thread contingent upon Seth's MGoApproval. MGoBlog, please let me know.

I'm looking forward to taking my son Kyle to his first game at the Big House this year. It won't be this game, because his own football game starts at 3:30pm (2:30 here in the Chicago area.) Kyle has never been to the Big House, and really wants to go. His season ends in early November, so hopefully we'll be able to make it up to a game sometime after that. I'm trusting, as several posters have noted, inexpensive tickets will be available on Stubhub or at the gate.

My Son,

He is 5 now and has been singing "Hail to the Victors" since he was 2.  He is a die hard Michigan fan at 5 and when asked things he like he says Michigan and when asked things he hates with out missing a beat he state Ohio and Michigan State!!!!  Also he has been asking me to take him to the big house everytime a game is on.

His rec soccer coached asked the kids for names of the team and he insisted on the name being Michigan and when we named our dog he named her Maize. (I sware, I didn't even suggest either of those)  Proud dad moments!!!!

My Friend who made the poor, poor life choice to be a Doctor and do his Residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He's lived there for 3+ years surrounded by Truck Drivers and a few alumni.

I took him to the spring game and he looked downright uncomfortable being around so many Michigan fans.

This contest doesn't have a drug test right? I'd gladly partake in the touchdown throws if Mitch was the one throwing me.

(I'm a 20 year old girl, which makes this post far less creepy than most of the posters on this site saying the above comment...)
