I'm watching College Gameday right now, and it's clear that Corso's minor stroke that he had in the off-season is affecting him. He has slurred a couple of words, stumbled over a few others, and clearly does not have that same level of Vitale-esque energy. It's not a train wreck like when i saw Dick Clark at New Year's Eve, but there is a difference for sure. It sucks to get old and I feel bad for the guy.
Poor Lee Corso
He needs to retire!
Yes! People should not offend our senses with their misfortunes! How dare they!
Has nothing to do with his misfortune he has annoyed the piss out of me for years!!! I feel bad for his situation I just want him to retire!
You're an asshat.
I love Corso .. hope he has many years ahead of him ... he cracks me up
He's safe, and can lead to some really good yardage.
Corso is great because he's entertaining while being just unbelievable enough that if he says something bad about Michigan I don't get worked up about it.
College Gameday is one of my favorite shows. I hope he can stay on b/c it won't be the same without him...
Seriously? Gameday? Man...ok.
As far as cfb shows go, I gotta go with Friday night tailgate (Mike Hall is the man, Jordan is hillarious) and anything with Mike Mayock.
I always thought Corso's main strength and contribution to the studio was to keep people from getting too pompous or serious. He has always had a way of reminding people that football is supposed to be fun without actually ever saying it.
It's definitely a shame he had a stroke. But hey! Look on the bright side. He can still speak better than Lou Holtz.
