Please! Where is my HTTV...one last thread

Submitted by Blue in Yarmouth on

It is only a couple of weeks until the season starts and I still don't have my HTTV season preview. I have read posts of guys in Hong Kong getting theirs and still I have nothing.

I have tried to contact Brian every way I know how and have yet to recieve a response. Everytime there is a link to a thread to report that it hasn't been recieved I have clicked and sent my email and still received nothing other than a return message saying the transmission has "permanently failed".

I am writing this one last thread in hopes that Brian or one of the mods see it and comment to let me (and any others who still may be waiting for the HTTV) know what the heck I have to do in order to finally get my cpoy (hopefully before the season it's intended to preview is over).

I've tried to be patient and wait for my copy and I'm not even mad that it isn't here yet...I just want to know what I have to do to get it. Please will one of the mods respond to this thread and let me know what I have to do to get this in my mailbox.

Sorry to anyone who is sick of these threads, I know they are plentiful but I just don't know what else to do. I would gldly just consider my money to the kickstarter a donation and go to a shop and pick it up but I have never been able to find an issue of the mag here in Nova Scotia so this is my only option.

I still don't have mine yet either and I donated the second day the kickstarter campaign was open.  I emailed Brian through the kickstarter website and he got back to me the next day.  He said that they did not have my address.  I emailed him my address last Thursday so I hope I get it later this week or next.  I assume that you are in the same situation as I was in.  Go to the kickstarter website and email Brian.

I just got mine and it is well worth the wait.  Hopefully you get yours soon.  Think of it this way... once you do have it, the off-season will fly by, and the content will be fresher in your mind.

You haven't even received a response yet?  Brian is clearly active on this website, so he must be checking his e-mail.  You'd think he'd be doing everything possible to get you your copy considering the enormous level of genorostity that his readers, yourself included, showed during his kickstarter campaign.

Hope I don't get booted from the website for being crticial of Brian. But come on man!  Take some responsibility and get this guy his copy, or at least an explanation.  It might not be your fault directly but ultimately the "face" of the magazine should acknowledge a complete failure in the buyer-seller agreement.

In conclusion - I feel your pain man.  Wish there was something I could do other than criticize Brian and the people in charge.

Dude, criticizing Brian or any of us is Never going to be a bannable offense. If you've got a grief, and it's valid, most likely you'll get an apology and a rectification. If you don't got a grief, you'll get an explanation.

I'm not getting the "I didn't get my copy" emails anymore, but there have been a TON of them as it took much longer to get them through the mail system than we anticipated. For 99.9% of those, the book was already in the mail.

For the rest, the person did not provide their shipping address by filling out the 2nd Kickstarter survey thing. If a book hasn't come by now, that is almost assuredly the reason (it was for the OP here).

We are scrapping that next year because it was horrible, and looking at having people get a code instead that they simply put into the MGOStore to get what they want.

I didn't fill out the second survey and in fact, I didn't even recieve it. I received various other emails from kickstarter, but not the survey. I had asked on every thread about HTTV how to do that and never got a response so I emailed Brian specifically a couple of times asking the same question with no response.

As I said, I'm not mad at anyone here, just trying to get this sorted out so I can have my copy before the season. Thanks for your input here though, I appreciate it.

Blue in Yarmouth-

Check your email

Others who didn't get yours:

There were about 20 people who did not answer the survey to provide us with their address. If you haven't gotten it yet, unless you contacted us directly recently, there isn't a book in the mail -- we need your address. In most of these cases, people used a little-used or dummy email address for the Kickstarter, and that inbox is now filled with our requests for your shippng info.

Email me directly and I'll make sure you get your book ASAP.

I received it in the mail, and I already read it once, but I have since misplaced it in my house. I emailed Brian, but he doesn't know where I put it.

I just got mine last week.  I didn't know there was an email requesting for everyone to send their address to UGP.  Once I gave that to them, I got a copy in the mail 2 days later.

FWIW i just got this email in the past half hour:

If you've got it, hurray! Again, we learned a lot from this process and promise it'll be a smoother ride next time for those of you who got stuff late.

If you're still without a copy, it's because we do not have your address -- maybe the kickstarter survey notification went to your spam box or Mars or something. Either way, email me directly at [email protected] and we will get you your copies before the season.

Thanks for all your support.
