Player You're Most Excited About This Season?
See if he has matured. He can (and will be) be a dominating force - but needs to cut down on the personal foul penalties. He is simply a Beast and will control the left side of the line ...
Go Blue!
No place on earth I'd rather be on a football Saturday than Michigan Stadium !
Denard, of course, and Will Campbell who needs to show up and if he does, could be a huge help on the D.
I have to go with Mike Martin. I can't wait to see what this new staff can teach him.
Oh how I hate Ohio State
To be honest, i'm most excited in seeing how Mike Martin will be used
Positions: RB and the D-line, since those are seeing the biggest shift in philosophy from last year.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
I would of said Wile even before the Hagerup news. We can't continue missing field goals like last year and expect to win games. Now he has to be our punter the first four games too. Yeah I'm definetly excited but also nervous at the same time for Matt. Lots of pressure!
Junior Hemingway. I think he could have an all big ten type season. Also, the defense as a whole. How big of a difference can good coaching make?
I also hope the one or more of the running backs break out. I miss the days of backs like mike hart, chris perry and the a train. I think it is entirely possible for a freshman running back to step in and make a difference.
Mike Martin is going to have a MONSTER year.
...and by that, I mean helter-skelter, willy-nilly and putt-putt!
This group has the potential to make a huge difference for us this year and really wreak havok on opposing teams. Can't wait to see them in action!
to actually play in games against Ohio State.
So much depends on him, so I'm really interested to see how he performs. If he's even adequate, makes life so much easier for Martin and the rest of the front 7, which in turn helps take a lot of pressure off the defensive backfield.
And if he's better than that, then I start to dream of a 9 win season or better.
Third generation Michigan alum
If one of them can really step up, we could have a dominant defensive line this year. It also means one less question mark on my unit of biggest concern for next year. I will be much more excited about Alabama knowing we've got at least one proven interior lineman.
You can be blue and still be green
I've been really looking forward to seeing Mike Shaw play again. Whenever he has been totally healthy (which has been seldom), he has had the electrifying speed and pop that I like to see at running back. Some have said that he has put in more work this offseason than in the past, so hopefully he can step up for a solid senior year.
Until he graduates...Denard.

WILE, WILE, WILE, have we this short a memory . . . . we need a FG kicker and I cant wait to see how our team will change with the addition of a kid who can score from 30 yds out.
Offense will be the same but some issues early on with the change in scheme.
Defense moderate improvement with scheme and with coaching.
Special Teams will have major improvement with addition of WILE and with Hoke paying alot of attention to that group
Its a bummer about Stonum but the right move IMO, Terrence Robinson is not a real loss, and while its frustrating about Hagerup I think this WILE kid is the real deal.
Hopkins... Reminds me of perry.
"When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing."
If he stays healthy this year it will mean good things for our offense
I've been beating this drum for a while but i will stick with Jerald Robinson
I would have to say Jerald Robinson as well. I really am not sure what to expect with him but with Stonum's red shirt I am excited to see him get a chance and I hope he surprises.
hoping to see troy woolfolk healthy, to see BWC become the player we had all hoped for when he re-comitted on that signing day. also a running back stand out, and of course De-Rob!

On defense I am most excited to see Marvin Robinson. He has a lot of talent and I would love to see him show the ability to take over the SS spot in this defense. I think he and Johnson could be a great pair of safeties for us in the future.
On offense I have to say Stokes. He was a highly touted player out of HS and just hasn't shown us much yet. I would like to see him burst onto the scene this year.
The thread title should begin "not counting Denard, . . ."
Lots of options, but I'll go with Cam Gordon, who's frosh-to-soph leap I expect to be the most Denard-like.

Talk about a beast. I'm excited to see them run behind him over and over again.
