On Player Development Under Harbaugh

Submitted by Geaux_Blue on
SI did a feature on teams who effectively identify and develop players in the draft who go on to be Pro Bowlers.

Of note is their credit to Harbaugh for building up a team of quality players, picked up in later rounds, that go on to do great things.

There's been some sweating and double talk as of late about when recruiting ranking matter, especially as MSU suddenly cares about such things, but this stands as a quality representation of Harbaugh's ability to build:

Where did it credit Harbaugh for building a team of quality players? It only said that draft moves made during the 10 years of this particular study formed the backbone of the team that fit Harbaugh's style.

The entire staff should see nice player development. Not only do we have an experienced staff, but several have had long nfl careers as players. I am excited to see who breaks out in 2015

One critical aspect of player development is accountability on the field.  Coach Harbaugh encourages, expects and demands competition, because he is ultimately going to hold these players accountable for performance.  Really can't wait to see the results this Fall

What I don't get is how he doesn't already have committments from nos. 1 thru 22 of ESPNs top 100.  If he doesn't start reeling in 5 stars pretty soon, this is gonna be a dissappointing class.
