Player Development Center Timeline?

Submitted by StephenRKass on

EDIT:  Subject has been spelled out in full. For any who are unclear, this is the name given to the new basketball practice facility adjacent to Crisler Arena.

The player development center is due to open within a month. Is there a "grand opening" date set? Will it be open to the public?

I would have to assume that work is nearing completion, but not being in AA, I haven't heard or seen anything lately. It seems that unlike the suites in MIchigan Stadium and the new scoreboards, there hasn't been a whole lot of publicity and pics out there. I know the team did see Crisler's first phase of renovations a couple weeks ago, and are using Crisler once again. Any info. or pics on the PDC would be great.

I thought this meant: Play Development Counter Timeline. I thought the OP was asking when we are going to see a counter play develop in the next few weeks. I was WAY off.

I just drove by on Sunday, but I forgot to bring my camera.  From the outside, things looked mostly done.  It looked like they were still working on some things on the inside though.

I haven't heard anything regarding a grand opening and whether or not that would be open to the public.

As a semi-insider, it is looking like Mid-October. The players are practicing on their own. I've seen all the freshman there. They are all excited to move to the new locker rooms in the PDC. The court, seats, and new scoreboard look amazing. They are working hard and I believe they are on phase 2 of 3.
