I am stuck tonight in Minny doing homework because as much as I don't want to do it, I will be extremely screwed if I do not get some stuff done...

I am so dam nervous and excited already...it is really starting to sink in that I have the chance to possibly watch one of my teams win a championship in person...unreal

Question: Is that the holy grail for sports fans? Being able to witness a championship live, in person?

Witnessing a championship is something very special, I was able to watch Wing's win cup in 2002, and Michigan at Rose Bowl 97

Although you think time can't go any slower if you have the lead towards the end, in person, it crawls...Definitely plays on your nerves but afterwards very special

Probably meeting up with some classmates and Michigan alums here in Austin.  I'm interning in Minneapolis this summer and sorta bummed I'll be up there 1 1/2 months late for this game.

Did anybody hit Skeeps for either CC or NoDak? How was the atmosphere? Haven't been there since our run in 08. We did Arena for NoDak, which was decent as mentioned. I just want to be in the right place this time around.

I don't really watch a lot of college hockey, or most NCAA sports that aren't basketball or football.

That being said, I intend to watch on ESPN3 tonight. Finish the job.

If you're going to be in Greektown, I'd do Pappy's Sports Bar.  Decent food, cute waitresses/bartenders, six or seven 50" flat screens.  I usually go there before/after Red Wings games.  Not saying it's the greatest place in the world, but I've never had a bad time there.  Probably the best place to watch if you're in that area.

Staying up late (1am start local time), logging into my computer back in the US, and watching the game via ESPN3. And then hopefully waking up my entire apartment building with cheering at 4am.

Anybody know if the Chicago alumni club is doing something at one of the bars?  I think another former bando and I are hitting up Rockit, but I'm trying to figure out for sure if there's a legit alumni event so we're at least amongst our own.

will be watching it in a sports bar in New Brunswick. Not a whole lot of U-MD fans around these parts.  Like none!
