Place your bet: signing day flip we win

Submitted by myrtlebeachmai… on
OK, if you had to bet, what position do we land a signing day surprise flip at? Maybe DB/S if we end up 1/4 or 0/4 on Knight/Parker/Dorsey/Grimes? Maybe an OL? Maybe a DT w/ or w/o Talbott staying on board? My money's on a slot/RB type to replace Drake and provide insurance for V Smith's healing. Someone out of the blue (hah BLUE) that gets sold on now-improved playing-time prospects.

Still think we get Parker and Talbott stays on board. Would be nice to get another shifty slot/RB, but not sure we're going to get any real surprises tomorrow. Class feels like it was pretty much wrapped up a few weeks ago when we got Davion Rogers and Jake Ryan, and anything after would be just a final touch. Would I be happy with a finish of Parker and Dorsey, yes, but I'll be perfectly fine with one more Safety recruit to add to the mix of M Robinson/Vinopal/C Johnson.

If we add Parker it would be a definite bonus. Good solid class considering where we are right now. Love to see a little snake oil and Rich pull a surprise out of his wizards hat. Any Purdue commits we want to snag last minute? Anyone left in West Virginia?

we could take 29. "Rodriguez said Michigan can sign a maximum 29 high school seniors for the 2010 freshman class but anticipates signing anywhere between 26 and 28." But you are probably right, I don't think there will be any big surprises. http://www.detnews.com/article/20100130/SPORTS0201/1300383/1131/sports0…

I think we should all be pleased with a top 15 class after the football we have witnessed the last 2 years. Name a program in the country that can go 3-9 and 5-7 and pull a top 15,top 20 class..

I'll go out on a limb and say we get no surprises and no one new. At this point I think the best case scenario is to actually keep Talbott away from UNC but I have some skepticism even there, we shall see. I think Dorsey ends up at FSU which wouldn't be a suprise and Parker at USC (thanks to Riley heading to UCLA). If there is a surprise I don't think it will be anyone that won't create a mini-meltdown amongst some people on the board with the "omg he's only a (insert star ranking here)". Everyone just needs to remember that Michigan or not we've only won 8 games in the past 2 years, it definitely doesn't help with recruiting.

There's a lot going against Michigan, and the bad thing about being the front-runner is that there's no place to go but down. I think Washington or USC will pull it out. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

is from the west coast. Seattle might be a long distance from his home town, but the freezing rust belt it ain't. Same with Dorsey. That's why I think our recruiting bread and butter will always have to be in the footprint of the Big Ten, or in states that are adjacent to the region. Picking off small numbers of guys from CA and FLA is great, but it's not a reliable way to really fill out your recruiting classes in Ann Arbor. That's why I'm encouraged that we've gotten so many from Ohio the last couple of years, after getting not very much from there for a few years.

I will hold out slim hope for Parker and Dorsey, but I don't think we land any of them. Dietrich Riley is going to UCLA, leaving a hole open at S for USC. I think this will intrigue Parker. Dorsey is most likely FSU's. Grimes committed to Ole Miss, and Knight to Rutgers. The mystery OL that some have mentioned was Schofner, and he is committed to State. Talbott should stay committed with his brother, but it is up in the air.
