Pizza Pizza Bowl Open Thread

Submitted by jhackney on

The highly anticipated Pizza Bowl has arrived. Those of us that are already tired of our new toys and are suffering a one day college football withdraw are frothing at the mouth and are ready for this blockbuster.

No NFL tonight, so instead of Minnesota @ Philadelphia, we get FIU and Toldeo.

I have Toledo with 28 confidence points in the ESPN mgoblog pool.

Who do you have?

Anybody by chance enjoying a Little Cesaers pizza currently? Toppings? Breadsticks?

Over/Under for attendance of 10,000?

For properly titling this thread. The fact that the bowl committee hasn't seen fit to properly name their bowl game is their error.

No problem! I hope Brian makes some moolah off it. It was the first thing I looked up when I got it. I also wonder if that 99 cent minimum changed. I just got the "current issue" of Slate today for 49 cents.

Touching to be down, two feet in for a completion, and the challenge system are the best JC Pearson could come up with for NCAA rule changes? Think big JC, think big. How about playoffs, clear and cinsistent enforcement of the rules, outlawing picking up so many recruits and hoping some fail out or cutting upperclassmen. He also keeps calling the players "big boys". Stop it JC. Try young men, it makes you sound more credible as a commentator.

As I am watching this game, it occurs to me that I saw both of these teams in person earlier this season.  Back in September, I saw FIU play at Maryland when I was in DC for a week.  I also drove down from Ann Arbor to catch some mid-week MAC-tion, Toledo vs Bowling Green, last month.

This raised two questions in my mind...

1. Am I the only person in the country that can claim to have attended games of both of these teams this season (prior to tonight?)

2. Do I need to enroll in a 12 step program due to my obvious college football addiction?
