It was going to be a braised chicken and vegetables night, but it became a pizza and beer night because we were actually out of power here from about 1:45 to 4:30 PM. No one really felt like cooking in the end. I had such grand plans this morning too. 

In any case, I came home a little early from work and watched them remove a sizeable tree from the primary just north of my house - pulled the conductor right off the insulators on a couple poles and blew the fuses on a few transformers. I've grown philosophical about outages over the years, much to my wife's dismay.

on the wagon and I have to say this the most difficult weekend to sustain this "life change" so far.  I would be fucking pummelling a 12 pack of something delicious tonight as of one month ago, if only that 12 pack would not make another 6 six sound like a wonderful idea I could be.  Ah well, Sweet, sweet beer or not, this is a good Friday night warmup.  You got SC v. Oregon State at 9:00, at the exact some time The Town, oustanding alternate viewing, comes on TNT.  Comfortable laying position, check, stupid unsatisfying ice tea, check.  I am set for the night.

Sitting in the hotel in New Jersey watching the great outdoors with our three kids. Christ I forgot how funny that movie was.

Counting down the days until we move into corporate housing. Kids didn't want pizza, so we made hot dogs. Damn I need a beer.

Grilled chicken, rice and beans for dinner. Now I'm putting a dent in some leftover Halloween candy...there is much left. Pretty good sports night with the college game, Pistons and Wings. Go Blue!

Pizza and a bottle of Sam Adam's Oktoberfest. I know nothing about the beers you cats talk about, and living in laid back Okeechobee, Florida I wouldn't even know where to begin. Nevertheless, drink up and sleep tight fellas. Tomorrow is a big day.

I'll have to check that out. My biggest problem is that I don't know which to even try. I took the wife to the Melting Pot for our anniversary, and I almost started a thread to ask which of the 2 or 3 IPAs (I guess) should I try. I figured it would bd douchey to start a thread for that ghough, but maybe I'll squeeze it into a thread next time. It's pretty obvious that there a lot of guys on here who have a pretty good idea about beers.

Let me add that this volleyball game vs Penn State is seriously entertaining. I don't usually watch volleyball, but it's Michigan and it's obvious that they are both really good.
