I liked it. As much as I love the band, I can't hear them from my seats so I always just zone out during timeouts. Also, my one minor complaint about our amazing band is the lack of song variety so it was nice to hear something new.

The idea of piped music is good to me, the hard part is finding the right songs. I like having music played but not a big fan of AC/DC or Neil Diamond.

I was on the opposite end of the stadium from the band and indeed, could not hear them.

Why don't they spread the band out on the sidelines, like they do with the opposing band? Some of them in each corner, or something to that effect.

This would also open up more seats up close.

There may be a reason why this can't be done, I don't know.

The way i see it is, Journey and sweet carolina while I hate them are crowd pleasers to drunks. think about what percentage of fans have at least 2 alcoholic beverages in them? 25% at least by my guess and everybody has been in a bar and have groaned when those songs come on and the whole bar sings. My opinion groan like i did even bitch a little but at least it got people interacting and into the game.

Did not like it, will never like it, and will be sending letters to the proper people voicing my displeasure. This is Michigan Stadium. Neil Diamond and Journey and Guns N' Roses have absolutely no place being piped in over the PA system.

I know that might make me sound a bit blue-haired, but I think it was unbelievably lame. Not to mention incredibly disrespectful to the Band. Do whatever you have to do to make the Band audible throughout the Stadium. Just don't do this to replace them, even if only during TV timeouts.

Anyone can listen to whatever music they want at whatever volume they want whenever they want.

Everyone has very few opportunities to listen to the Michigan band live. There are only 8 times this year!

Reducing the unique, limited experience of listening to the Greatest Band On Planet Earth live is nuts.

I sit in section 6. The opponent's band is always right in front of me. Even when the opposing band isn't playing I cannot hear the UM band. For me piped-in music is a welcome change. It's fun and fills in the 'dead space' when nothing else is going on. Perhaps it will help drive out some of the 'down in front blue hairs'.
