Pick Six Week 2?

Submitted by joeyb on

I didn't play last year, so I'm a little fuzzy on the rules, but do I need to update my picks for Pick Six somewhere or does that only happen every two or three weeks?

Usually someone posts a link to a google spreadsheet that has the results along with a little write-up. I have been on the lookout for it too and unfortunately I don't believe the link has been posted yet.

I'm thinking that my pick of Houston as the preseason non-Top 25 team to finish with the highest ranking is not going to work out all that well.

Upon doing a site-search of the Pick 6, and heading to the original post/diary link, it shows a response of "MGoblog Pick Six is no longer accepting entries".  I don't know if that's because it was "shut-down" due to the start of the games and to not allow people to pick after kick-offs started or if it's shut-down completely.

The picks you made were for the end of season AP poll results. Usually there's an update posted every now and then with the standings, but I haven't seen it posted this week (like everyone else has said).

Edit: It looks like Jeff was looking for someone to take on the daily write ups this year. Did anyone volunteer?

Jeff says some other people volunteered as well. I'll wait to hear back and see what Pick Six needs to be an MGoStaple each week and go from there.

In the meantime, if you click his username and "Jeff's Blog" link, you should find all of last years updates. I'm assuming this year will be roughly the same deal.

Sounds like everything has been answered already.  The picks made at the beginning of the year last all season.  There was no update after Week 1 because there is not that much movement in the polls (except for one team :( but we won't talk about that).  And it gives a little more time to get everything in order.

We did have a couple people volunteer, so we should have the first recap post next week.  Thanks for the email justingoblue I'll get in touch with you too.  More people to share the work is always a good thing.

Ahh, that's what I thought. I couldn't remember if it was Utah or North Carolina... But my second choice was going to be Houston so I was in trouble either way...

But thanks for checking!

EDIT: I just remembered I had 32 place finish last year with my unranked choice of Texas putting up 0 so there's still hope!
