Photos: Michigan vs Maryland Soccer
Living in the DC area, was very lucky to catch today's big victory over Maryland in soccer.
I've embedded some photos from the game below, but recommend you check out the entire stream (in much higher resolution) at Flickr:

Now, the real question remains on everyone's mind:
Were there any Lloyd Brady sightings, and what was his reaction?

I got up to wiz, when I got back to the computer, the Wolverines were jumping on each other and the Terps were in tears.

That was great. This is a wonderful story and really shows the improvement this program has made and how far it's come in relatively short time. I also looked at the roster and we only have 5 seniors graduating. We should essentially have the same team next year...which is nice.

Does Michigan get a trophy for being regional champions?

I was also there. I snuck in at the far right of that fan shot. We had about 18 recent grads (2007) out of picture, but those guys and girls from Ultra in the picture, mostly sophomores, drove down at midnight last night to be at the game. Awesome. There was also another bigger section of Michigan fans, I think mostly family and friends, on one of the sidelines opposite the bench.
We had a pretty sweet tailgate and the Maryland fans for the most part were very friendly. The Maryland fans were clearly not used to a vocal group of opposing fans in their stadium, and during the game, were getting a little rattled. We switched endlines at the half and were behind the goal for all three of our scores.
To answer the question of silence, we were in bedlam mode, and pretty much ignored everyone else for a solid 10 minutes.

It was my first time seeing the club this year and it was a fantastic game. Maryland is a quality team that carried the play for large stretches of each half and the overtime.
What stood out to me was the teams resilience and persistence. They just kept hanging in there and playing hard, waiting for their opportunity. The goal was the result of a quick conter-attack down the left side and a cross. Nothing special, just great hustle on the back side of the play.
Wonderful treat for many of us in the DC area that rarely get to see our teams live. Helluva game.
GO BLUE!!

I watched the game on the NCAA internet feed. The guy doing the commentary - it had kind of a student production feel to it - seemed to be rooting for Maryland so it was pretty sweet at the end.
