Photo: Harbaugh in a Michigan hat for the 1st time as HC

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

To my knowledge, the first picture ever of Harbaugh in a Michigan hat as the head coach.

Dreams came true.

BULLSHIT.

While WD's thread is good there was a thread earlier today, a most brilliiant thread I might add, that posted a comedian's take on Kyle Shanahan's legendary powerpoint to Cleveland Browns managment. The OP in that thread truly wove a tapestry of magic with his words and while it might not be the single greatest post in the history of the board it's certainly in the conversation that's for sure.  It was breathtaking.

You know MGO I didn't get to answer in that thread but in my mind the Browns are the most tragic NFL franchise of all time. Unlike the Lions who have never really come close, except 91, we have been heart wrenchingly close, had our franchise stolen from us by fat man and his coke head kid, had a litany if uninformed meddlesome owners and keep finding a way to make the situation worse with musical chair coaches. My best friend from high school got divorced and in the proceedings fought tooth and nail to keep this crappy shanty he called a house for one reason only - he had painted the basement orange and brown for his beloved browns. He saw manzeil throw his first nfl pass, and he calls me and says, "if I burn this place down the insurance is not enough to be a browns season ticket holder". That, my friends, is the almost mythological frustration of being a browns fan.

Now let's don't get all crazy and stuff. Lite beer is pisswater.

I like the pretentious artisanal microbrews as much as anybody—hey, I love Heady Topper!—but reading the drinking threads sometimes reminds me of all the kids I knew growing up in Grosse Pointe discussing their stereo equipment or sports cars or skiing destinations.

It's still a bit surreal.  A part of me sees this photo and thinks "oh look, Jim Harbaugh dressed up as himself coaching Michigan for Halloween."

Flat brimmed hats suck.  I have never worn one and never will.  Maybe it was growing playing ball in the 70s and 80s, but the bill of a proper baseball hat is highly curved.  Frequently broken in by wrapping the bill around a baseball.

The string of New Era 5950s that I have owned dating back to high school definitely not flat brimmed.  And its the same hat that Bo wore.  Maybe people just don't break in their hats any longer?

And the 5950 has been the official hat of MLB since 1994, I think what you are referring to is a change to kid wearing the hat too large and not breaking it in.

So, this is a really lame request, but can anyone post a link to where these pics came from?  The pics won't display on my work computer for some reason, and I really want to see this.
