too NFL for the short

Needs another year here to get taller...

Awesome news. Lewis had a hell of a year and deserves his accolades.
Hoping he comes back, but have to admit I am not really expecting him to and that I would have absolutely no problems if that is the ultimate decision.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:20 AM ^
Wouldnt surprise me if he got a first round grade and left, but he has publicly stated he is coming back next year.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:26 AM ^
He's said he's getting his degree. Could feasibly happen in three years, though very tough for someone balancing football and school. Also could change his mind. Really hoping he comes back obviously!
December 4th, 2015 at 10:44 AM ^
Getting your degree in three is tough for someone NOT having to balance football, unless you come in with a boatload of AP credits and/or go to school year round.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:40 AM ^
Lewis wouldn't have a 1st round grade. ceiling is 2nd round but the floor is 3rd round. NFL sees him as a nickel CB in the next level.

Fucking josh Garnett.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:03 AM ^
....I think he made the correct choice

For him. Not for me.

There's actually multiple guys on this list that almost picked Michigan - Garnett, Sheldon Day and wasn't Jeremy Cash a guy that was high on M during his recruitment? Or was it OSU?
December 4th, 2015 at 11:40 AM ^
He actually committed to OSU and transffered after one season.
December 4th, 2015 at 3:11 PM ^
Cash was a Florida kid recruited by Tressel. He left OSU as soon as Meyer got hired because, the rumor is, he was mad at Urban for not recruiting him to Florida.

Baker Mayfield is really good. Yet another player that Texas let slip away
December 4th, 2015 at 12:38 PM ^
More like a player that Texas Tech let slip away, especially with how bad Davis Webb was last year until Mahomes took over. The wife is a Texas Tech grad and this was a big issue with their fans last season, luckily for them Mahomes has turned out to be somewhat decent.

they bascially chased him out.

and recruit Donnie Corley.
signed,

I have inside info that John Harbaugh was going to use a first rounder on Lewis, but then he read Mgoblog and realized he needed to grow another year.

So John Harbaugh is too short also?
December 4th, 2015 at 10:41 AM ^
He meant grow in a spiritual sense.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:05 AM ^
I'm thrilled that they overlooked our not-ready-for-the-NFL TE.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:08 AM ^
Any chance he gets the AA nod?
December 4th, 2015 at 10:15 AM ^
it. He didn't get any love from Thorpe. Didn't get any love from Pepsi. Definitely didn't get no love from Reebok! Did he ever tell you his Reebok story?
December 4th, 2015 at 10:10 AM ^
20 passes defensed and he's a lock for the NFL!!!
December 4th, 2015 at 10:18 AM ^
shut your mouth right now.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:19 AM ^
No stop he's too short remember!
December 4th, 2015 at 10:11 AM ^
chance that "he gone" with the Durkin move?
December 4th, 2015 at 10:16 AM ^
Durkin didn't even recruit him. They spent all of eleven months together.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:26 AM ^
I guess it just would be a "clean break" point for him that wasn't there before. I guess it depends on where he projects and less with Durkin anyway. I think "he gone" if he projects to the first round in any case.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:21 AM ^
I really doubt that will have any impact on JD

"Not a Thorpe Finalist, do NOT want (until next year)" - NFL guy
December 4th, 2015 at 10:24 AM ^
His arm length needs work. Strength of tendons in his ankles are weak. Needs one more year.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:33 AM ^
also year another year of growth and his facial hair to needs to come in fully. Just to early for the kid, really.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:32 AM ^
He needs another year of whole milk, sleep, steak and HARBAUGH before he'll be strong enough and tall enough for the NFL.
December 4th, 2015 at 10:40 AM ^
work Mr. Lewis. We're counting on you for one more year in Maize and Blue.
December 4th, 2015 at 11:14 AM ^
Can we be optimistic about the fact that Stanford has an OL (Josh Garnett) and an RB (Christian McCaffrey) on this list?
At some point you have to give credit to Shaw and not chalk it all up to Harbaugh though, right?
December 4th, 2015 at 11:22 AM ^
At this point I would give Shaw all the credit. I mean it's been five years since Harbaugh at Stanford. It's Shaw's team.
