Pete Rose'ing the games tonight (for the gamblers)

I'm liking Kansas to cover. They looked competent last week, as compared to the week before.  I'm not sure I could take the Wolfpack -3, but that's more because I haven't seen Cal yet this season.

KU looked good last week and is playing with the chip on their sholder for scoring 3 points against whatever Dakota they played; S. Carolina had complete control of S. Miss opening game.

I took the +5.5 for that game.

Southern Miss's win is over PV A&M, South Caroline destroyed them.  Hard for me to give points considering the improvement Kansas showed last week.

I'm not entirely sold on Cal (Colorado errors made them look a lot better than they played on Saturday) but hopefully they can take care of business.  I got it at -2.5 too so I've got that going for me.  Southern Miss didn't impress against South Carolina (a team that I think is just as mediocre as always outside of the little boost from Lattimore) and I'm thinking maybe Kansas pulled an Iowa in their opener (see early season losses to ISU and close call against NIU despite having solid teams).

As for a game on Saturday to tease, USC -12 over Minnesota may be a good call.  I just don't see Minnesota being able to hang and with the improved spread (-6?) I like it a lot.  UConn -6.5 against Temple is another one I like (becomes essentially a pick'em).

I would throw Maryland on your teaser with Colorado. They will cover the 10 and may even win. Also Texas is a trap at -3 stay away. They lost a lot and people still bet the name and not the team.
