A personal thank you to Brian

I would like to personally give brian a huge thank you for starting this blog. I frequent this blog often just to find all news Michigan and throw in a comment here and there. I appreciate the discussions from true M fans and not TROLLS, which brings me to my thank you. When I first read the Freep witch hunt, I mean violations article I immediately came here to find the reactions and opinions of other fans. I have read plenty of positive feedback to this situation as well as a small amount of negative, now try venturing over to Mlive right now. The only thing I can say WOW, there are a ton of idiots just dropping nonsense everywhere. So THANK YOU very much brian for a place to talk about UofM sports instead of defending them to trolls.

place I know of where you can actually get logical thought about Michigan Football. This is all because of Brian. Thank you, good sir. P.S. A day like today makes the +/- system worth having.

My poor girlfriend has to put up with my addiction waiting for its fix, and it drives her nuts; I don't even talk about her work, or how she's doing, or anything else that women like to prattle on about. From sun-up to sun-down she only hears about Meeeeeeeeechigan football.

Mlive is a cesspool during certain times of the day & during certain events (e.g. this one, M losing a game/ recruit...). There are a cord group of posters there, but they generally stay away when the trolls come in. However, MGoBlog is amazing and thanks to Brian and all who have done more journalism than that hack reporter. This whole thing is just a way for the Freep to sell some papers and get website hits.

I read the Freep stuff when a Sparty friend posted it on Facebook, no doubt giddy of impending probation, sanctions, lost scholarships, etc. And I had some bad thoughts about the program after reading it. HOWEVA, a little time on this site showed the light on the whole situation. As someone else somewhere here said, this will likely have about as much effect as Carty's hack job last summer at the (now curiously defunct) Ann Arbor News. Thanks, Brian. Big ups to you.

haha... honestly though, even on the east coast, wearing a michigan hat right now brings out the loud mouths who complain about rich rod, appy state, etc. It's nice to get away from all the blind negativity. Thanks guys!

Once I found Brian's writings about 2 years ago, it became nearly impossible to stomach the poorly written college football coverage in the Free Press and elsewhere. I never realized how bad their work was, until I saw what good coverage truly was.

I pretty much check this site 20 times a day, at least. I often come here as the first website I hit up in the morning, even before email lately which is pretty ridiculous. I do miss haloscan or whatever that stream of consciousness thing that was going on at the old site. But this place is great, and most people are pretty reasonable here which makes it even better.

Informed, intelligent discussion on Michigan Football. When this type of stuff hits in most places it's either panic or gleeful trolls. I am so thankful for Brian and this site.

To all the previous posts: well said! After reading the article the first time I found myself thinking: "I can't wait to see Brian and CO. sort the wheat from the chaff on this."

I only recently discovered mgoblog and was pleased to find both a site and community more super totally awesomer more active and informative than FREEPOOP The Detroit Free Press for UofM info. I have learned the error of my ways and shall repent for my ignorance. Also mad props to Brian for being a bastard child of EE and CS engineer.

It is nice to read and write amongst other informed and involved fans. This blog is as stellar as any sports blog on the world wide interwebs. Although I am short on points, I think it was a positive addition to the site.
